4 BEFORE YOU BEGIN Thank you for selecting the WESLO ¨ CADENCE 930 treadmill. The CADENCE 930 combines advanced technology with innovative design to let you enjoy an excellent form of cardiovascular exercise in the convenience and privacy of your home.
2. Without removing the tape from the Latch (18), attach the Latch to the left Upright (31) with the four Screws (24). Make sure that the Screws are tight, but do not overtighten them; if the Screws are overtightened, the Latch will not slide smoothly .
6 3. Cut the plastic tie holding the cage nut in the upper end of the Left Handrail (30). Position the Left Handrail (30) on the left Upright (31). Thread a 1/4Ó x 1Ó Bolt (23) with a Handrail W asher (51) two complete turns into the upper end of the left Upright and the Left Handrail.
7 OPERA TION AND ADJUSTMENT THE PERFORMANT LUBE TM W ALKING BEL T Y our treadmill features a walking belt coated with PERFORMANT LUBE TM , a high-performance lubricant. IMPORT ANT : Never apply silicone spray or other substances to the walking belt or the walking plat- form.
8 BA TTERY INST ALLA TION The console requires two "AA" batteries (not includ- ed). Alkaline batteries are recommended. T o install batteries, open the bat- tery cover as shown at the right. Press the batteries into the bat- tery compart- ment, with the negative (Ð) ends of the batteries touch- ing the springs.
9 Reset the console and start the walking belt. Move the speed control to the RESET position. Note: Each time the walking belt is stopped, the speed control must be moved to the RESET position before the walking belt can be restarted. Next, slowly move the speed control until the walk- ing belt begins to move at slow speed.
10 HOW T O FOLD AND MOVE THE TREADMILL HOW TO FOLD THE TREADMILL FOR STORAGE Before folding the treadmill, unplug the power cord. Caution: Y ou must be able to safely lift 45 pounds (20 kg) in order to raise, lower or move the treadmill. 1. Hold the treadmill with your hands in the locations shown at the right.
11 HOW TO LOWER THE TREADMILL FOR USE 1. Hold the upper end of the treadmill with your right hand as shown. Using your left hand, slide open the storage latch. Pivot the treadmill until the catch and the foot rail are past the storage latch. 2. Hold the treadmill firmly with both hands, and lower the treadmill to the floor .

13 PROBLEM: The walking belt is off-center or slips when walked on SOLUTION: a. If the walking belt has shifted to the left , first remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD . Using the allen wrench, turn the left rear roller adjust- ment bolt clockwise, and the right bolt counterclock- wise, 1/4 of a turn each.

15 SUGGESTED STRETCHES The correct form for several basic stretches is shown in the drawings at the right. Move slowly as you stretchÑnever bounce. 1. T oe T ouch Stretch Stand with your knees bent slightly and slowly bend forward from your hips. Allow your back and shoulders to relax as you reach down toward your toes as far as possible.
