4 2 0. Never leave the treadmill unattended while it is running. Always remove the key, unplug the power cord, and press the power switch into the off position when the treadmill is not in use. (See the drawing on page 5 for the lo- cation of the power switch.

7 1. Make sure that the power cord is unplugged. Attach the Left Wheel Cap (103) to the Base (105) with two #8 x 3/4" Screws (2). 8 3. Identify the Left Upright (90), which is marked “Left.” Have a second person hold the Left Upright near the Base (105). See the inset drawing. Tie the wire tie in the Left Upright (90) securely around the end of the Upright Wire (88). Then, pull the other end of the wire tie until the Upright Wire is routed through the Left Upright.
9 5. Identify the Left and Right Base Covers (96, 97). Slide the Left Base Cover (96) onto the Left Upright (90). Slide the Right Base Cover (97) onto the Right Upright (99). Do not press the Base Covers into place yet. 90 96 99 97 5 4 . Hold the Left Upright (90) against the Base (105) .
10 7. Remove the four 3/8" x 1" Flat Head Screws (15) and 3/8" Star Washers (14) from the Left and Right Uprights (90, 99). Orient the Handrail Brackets (89) so that the indicated holes are in the positions shown. Insert the Upright Wire (88) through the left Handrail Bracket.
1 1 9. Remove and discard the #10 x 3/4" Screws (3) from the Right Handrail (93) and the Left Handrail (not shown). H old the pulse assembly near the Right Handrail (93). Insert the pulse wire from the pulse assem- bly into the hole in the side of the Right Handrail and out of the end of the Right Handrail as s hown.
12 13. Insert the pulse wires and the Upright Wire (not shown) into the Handrails (92, 93) as you set the console assembly on the Handrails. Attach the console assembly with four 5/16" x 5/8" Screws (4) and 5/16" Star Washers (12). Start all four Screws, and then tighten them.
13 16. Raise the Frame (64) to the position shown. Have a second person hold the Frame until this step is completed. Orient the Storage Latch (65) so that the large barrel and the latch knob are in the positions shown.

15 HOW TO PUT ON THE HEART RATE MONITOR The heart rate monitor consists of a chest strap and a s ensor. Insert the tab on one end of the chest strap into the hole in one end of the sensor as shown. Then, press the end of the sen- sor under the buckle on the chest strap.
16 OPERA TION AND ADJUSTMENT T HE PRE-LUBRICATED WALKING BELT Your treadmill features a walking belt coated with high- performance lubricant. IMPORTANT: Never apply sil- i cone spray or other substances to the walking belt or the walking platform. Such substances will cause excessive wear.
17 FEATURES OF THE CONSOLE The treadmill console offers an impressive array of features designed to make your workouts more effec- tive and enjoyable. When the manual mode of the con- sole is selected, you can change the speed and incline of the treadmill with the touch of a button.
18 HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER IMPORTANT: If the treadmill has been exposed to c old temperatures, allow it to warm to room tem- perature before you turn on the power. If you do n ot do this, you may damage the console displays or other electrical components.
19 If you press one of the numbered Quick Speed but- tons, the walking belt will gradually change speed until it reaches the selected speed setting. To se- l ect a speed setting that includes a decimal—such as 3.5 mph—press two numbered buttons in suc- c ession.
20 To reset the console, press the iFit Menu button in the upper right corner of the screen. To pause the workout, press the Pause button. To continue the w orkout, press the Resume button or the Start but- ton. To end the workout and select a new workout, p ress the New Workout button.
21 HOW TO USE A SET-A-GOAL WORKOUT 1. Insert the key into the console. See step 1 on page 18. 2. Select the main menu. See step 2 on page 18. 3. Select a set-a-goal workout. To select a set-a-goal workout, press the Workouts button on the screen. Then, press the Set a Goal button.
22 HOW TO USE A CALORIE BURN WORKOUT OR AN ALL-TERRAIN TRAILS WORKOUT 1 . Insert the key into the console. S ee step 1 on page 18. 2. Select the main menu.
23 The workout will continue in this way until the last segment ends. The walking belt will then slow to a stop, and a workout summary will appear on the s creen.
24 HOW TO USE THE IFIT LIVE MODE The iFit Live mode enables the treadmill to communi- c ate with your wireless network. With the iFit Live mode, you can download personalized workouts, cre- a te your own workouts, track your workout results, and access many other features.
25 HOW TO USE THE SETTINGS MODE The console features a settings mode that allows you t o connect your treadmill to your own wireless network and to log in to your iFit Live account. The settings m ode also allows you to select a display language, to select the unit of measurement, and to turn on and turn off the display demo mode.
26 3. Log in to your iFit Live account. Press the iFit Live Login button. Then, enter your u ser name and password using the keyboard on the screen. To use numbers or other characters, p ress the .?123 button or the #+= button. To return to the letter keyboard, press the ABC button.
27 HOW TO USE THE MAINTENANCE MODE The console features a maintenance mode that allows y ou to calibrate the incline and speed of the treadmill, calibrate the screen, perform a network test, update t he console firmware, and view technical information.
28 6. Calibrate the speed of the treadmill. Stand on the foot rails or stand on the floor. P ress the Calibrate Speed button and then press the Begin button. The walking belt will begin to m ove. When the walking belt stops moving, press the Back button.

31 Lower the treadmill (see HOW TO LOWER THE TREADMILL FOR USE on page 29). Remov e the three #8 x 3 /4" Screw s (2). Carefully pivot the M otor Hood (72) off. Locate the Reed Switch (59) and the Magnet (58) on the left side of the Pulley (61). Turn the Pulley until the Magnet is aligned with the Reed Switch.
32 SYMPTOM: The walking belt is off-center or slips when walked on a . If the walking belt is off-center, first remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD.

If you have not bought ProForm 2400 yet, this is a good time to familiarize yourself with the basic data on the product. First of all view first pages of the manual, you can find above. You should find there the most important technical data ProForm 2400 - thus you can check whether the hardware meets your expectations. When delving into next pages of the user manual, ProForm 2400 you will learn all the available features of the product, as well as information on its operation. The information that you get ProForm 2400 will certainly help you make a decision on the purchase.
If you already are a holder of ProForm 2400, but have not read the manual yet, you should do it for the reasons described above. You will learn then if you properly used the available features, and whether you have not made any mistakes, which can shorten the lifetime ProForm 2400.
