1. Identify the Right Handrail (86), which is marked with a sticker. Have a second person hold the Right Handrail near the tube on the Base (79). S e e th e i ns et d ra w in g. Tie the wire tie in the Right Handrail securely around the end of the W ire Harness (84).
4. Remove the console back and the four M4.2 x 12mm Screws (3) from the Console (80). Save the console back and the Screws for step 6. Hold the Console (80) near the Console Plate (81).
9 6. Attach the console back to the Console (80) with the four M4.2 x 12mm Screws (3) that you re- moved in step 4. See step 1. Tighten the two M8 x 16mm Bolts (1) on each side of the treadmill. See step 2. Tighten the M6 x 10mm Bolt (2) on each side of the treadmill.
10. Make sure that all parts are properly tightened before you use the treadmill. If there are sheets of clear plastic on the treadmill decals, remove the plastic. To protect the floor or carpet, place a mat under the tread- mill. Note: Extra hardware may be included.
1 1 T HE PRE-LUBRICATED WALKING BELT Your treadmill features a walking belt coated with high-performance lubricant. IMPORTANT: Never apply sili- cone spray or other substances to the walking belt or the walking platform. Such substances will deterio- r ate the walking belt and cause excessive wear.
12 IMPORTANT: If the treadmill has been exposed to cold temperatures, allow it to warm to room tem- perature before turning on the power. If you do not do this, you may damage the console displays or other electrical components. Plug in th e power c ord (see pa ge 11).
13 HOW TO USE THE CONSOLE 1. Insert the ke y into the conso le. See page 12. 2. Start t he walk ing bel t. Press t he Digi tal Spe ed incr ease bu tton to s tart the walking belt. A moment after you press the Digital Speed increase button, the walking belt w ill b eg in to mo ve .
14 4. Measure your heart rate if desired. To measure your heart rate, stand on the foot r ails and place your left thumb on the pulse sensor (see the drawing on page 12). Do not press too h ard, or the circulation in your thumb will be re- stricted and your pulse may not be detected.

(20 kg) to raise, lower, or move the treadmill. 1. Hold the metal frame firmly in the location shown by the arrow at the right.
16 HOW TO LOWER THE TREADMILL FOR USE 1 . Hold the upper end of the treadmill with your left hand. Pull the latch knob to the right and hold it. It may be nec- essary to push the frame forward as you pull the knob to the right. Pivot the frame downward and release the latch knob.
17 TROUBLESHOOTING Most treadmill problems can be solved by following the steps below. Find the symptom that applies, and follow the steps listed. If further assistance is needed, please see the front cover of this manual. PROBLEM: The power does not turn on SOLUTION: a.
18 Locate the Reed Switch (88) and the Magnet (41) on the left side of the Pulley (43). Turn the Pulley until the Magnet is aligned with the Reed Switch. Make sure t hat the gap between the Magnet and the Reed Switch is about 1/8 in. (3 mm). If necessary, loosen t he M4.
