4 2 0. Never leave the treadmill unattended while it is running. Always remove the key, unplug t he power cord, and switch the reset/off cir- cuit breaker to the off position when the treadmill is not in use. (See the drawing on page 5 for the location of the circuit breaker.

6 ASSEMBL Y A ssembly requires two persons. Set the treadmill in a cleared area and remove all packing materials. Do not dispose of the packing materials until assembly is completed. Note: The underside of the treadmill walking belt is coated with high-performance lubricant.
7 2. Insert an Extension Leg (97) into the Base ( 8 5) as s h ow n ; if necessary, use a rubber ma llet to fully inser t the Extensio n Leg. Next, hol d two Extension L eg Nuts (10) in th e bottom of the Extension Leg, and ti gh ten t w o 5/ 1 6" x 2 " Bolts (2) with two 5/16" Star Washers (9) into into the top of the Extension Leg.
8 5. With the help of a second person, carefully tip the treadmill onto its right side. Partially fold the Frame (55) so that the treadmill is more stable. D o not fully fold the Frame until the treadmill is completely assembled. Attach two Base Pads (81) to the Base (85) with two #8 x 1" Tek Screws (1).

10 13. Make sure that all parts are properly tightened before you use the treadmill. Keep the included hex key in a secure place; the hex key is used to adjust the walking belt (see pages 23 and 24). To protect the floor or carpet from damage, place a mat under the treadmill.
1 1 OPERA TION AND ADJUSTMENT THE PRE-LUBRICATED WALKING BELT Y our treadmill features a walking belt coated with high- performance lubricant. IMPORTANT: Never apply sil- icone spray or other substances to the walking belt or the walking platform. Such substances will deteriorate the walking belt and cause excessive wear.
12 FEATURES OF THE CONSOLE The treadmill console offers an impressive array of features designed to make your workouts more effec- tive. When the manual mode of the console is selected, you can change the speed and incline of the treadmill with the touch of a button.
13 HOW TO TU RN ON THE P OWER IMPORTANT: If the treadmill has been exposed to c old temperatures, allow it to warm to room tem- perature before turning on the power. If you do not d o this, the console displays or other electrical components may become damaged.
14 4. Change the incline of the treadmill as desired. To change the incline of t he treadmill, press the Inclin e increase and de- c rease buttons. 15 The Speed display — This display will show the speed of the walking b elt. To reset the displays, press the Stop button, re- move the key, a nd the n reins ert the k ey. 6. Measure your heart rate if desired. Before using the handgrip pulse sensor, remove the sheets of clear plastic from the metal con- tacts.
16 HOW TO USE A CLASSIC WORKOUT 1. Insert the ke y into the cons ole. See HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER on page 1 3. 2. Select a classic workout. To select a classic workout, press one of the Classic Workouts buttons repeatedly until the name of the desired workout appears in the matrix.
17 HOW TO USE A WEIGHT LOSS WORKOUT 1. Insert the ke y into the cons ole. See HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER on page 1 3. 2. Enter y our wei ght. Press the weight increase and decrease buttons located below the distance display. When your weight is displayed, press the Start button.

20 THE INF ORMAT ION MOD E The console features an information mode that keeps t rack of the total number of hours that the treadmill has been used and the total number of miles that the walk- i ng belt has moved. The information mode also allows you to select miles or kilometers as the unit of mea- surement for speed and distance.
