4 2 0. Never leave the treadmill unattended while it is running. Always remove the key, unplug the power cord, and switch the reset/off cir- cuit breaker to the off position when the treadmill is not in use. (See the drawing on page 5 for the location of the circuit breaker.

6 ASSEMBL Y T o hire an authorized service technician to assemble the treadmill, call 1-800-445-2480. Assembly requires two persons. Set the treadmill in a cleared area and remove all packing materials. Do not dispos e of the p acki ng ma teri als u nti l asse mbly i s com plet ed.
7 2. Attach a Wheel (86) to the Base (85) with an M10 x 50mm Bolt (27) and an M10 Nut (33). Do not overtighten the Nut; the Wheel must turn freely. 85 77 27 33 2 86 3. Identify the Right Upright (78) and the Right Upright Spacer (80), which are marked with stickers.
8 6. With the help of a second person, hold a Bolt Spacer (79) inside the lower end of the Left Upright (73). Insert an M10 x 96mm Bolt (5) with an M10 Star Washer (8) into the Left Upright and the Bolt Spacer. Repeat this step with a second Bolt Spacer (79), M10 x 96mm Bolt (5), and M10 Star Washer (8).
9 77 90 9. Have another person hold the Console Base (88) near the Right Handrail (90). Attach the end of the ground wire to the indicated small hole in the Right Handrail with the M4.2 x 13mm Silver Screw (4). Connect the Upright Wire (77) to the console wire.
10 11. Make sure that all parts are properly tightened before you use the treadmill. Note: Extra hardware may be included. Keep the included hex keys in a secure place; the large hex key is used to adjust the walking belt (see pages 19 and 20). To protect the floor or carpet, place a mat under the treadmill.
OPERA TION AND ADJUSTMENT THE PRE-LUBRICATED WALKING BELT Y our treadmill features a walking belt coated with high- performance lubricant. IMPORTANT: Never apply sil- icone spray or other substances to the walking belt or the walking platform. Such substances will deteriorate the walking belt and cause excessive wear.
12 FEATURES OF THE CONSOLE The treadmill console offers an impressive array of features designed to make your workouts more effec- tive and enjoyable. When you use the manual mode, you can change the speed and incline of the treadmill with the touch of a button.
13 HOW TO TU RN ON THE P OWER IMPORTANT: If the treadmill has been exposed to c old temperatures, allow it to warm to room tem- perature before turning on the power. If you do not d o this, the console displays or other electrical components may become damaged.
14 The lower left corner of the display can show the elapsed time, the d istance that you have walked or run during y our workout, and the incline level of the treadmill. Note: During a classic workout, the display will show the time remaining in the program instead of the elapsed time.
15 HOW TO USE A CLASSIC WORKOUT 1. Insert the key into the console. See HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER on page 1 3. 2. Select a classic workout. To select a preset classic workout, press the Classic Workouts button repeatedly until “P- 1,” “P- 2,” “P- 3,” “P- 4,” “P- 5,” or “P- 6” appears in the display.

18 TROUBLESHOOTING M ost treadmill problems can be solved by following the simple steps below. Find the symptom that applies, and follow the steps listed. If further assistance is needed, please see the front cover of this manual. PROBLEM: The power does not turn on SOLUTION: a.
Remove t he three M4.2 x 19mm Washer Head Screws (13) and carefully pivot the Hood (53) off. Locate the Reed Switch (54) and the Magnet (42) on the left side of the Pulley (44). Turn the Pulley until the Magnet is aligned with the Reed Switch. Make sure that the gap between the Magnet and the Reed Switch is about 1/8 in.
20 PROBLEM: The walking belt is off-center or slips when walked on SOLUTION: a. If the walking belt is off-center, first remove the k ey and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD.
