5 W ar m Up Ex er cises NING! WARM UP FIRST ! Warming up prepares the body fo r e xercise by increasing ci rculation, supplying more oxygen to the muscles and rais ing body temperatur e. Begin each workout with 5 to 10 minutes of stretching and light exercise to warm up.
6 Unpac king and Mo ving Instr uctions No Assembly Required! Alliance treadmills are shipped in one piece and fully assembled. After opening the box, remove any packing materials from the tr eadmill. Do not throw away any packing materials until the unit is working properly.

8 Console Functions and Descriptions POWER - Press to on. Allow 6-8 seconds while the electronics perform a self check prior to pressing other START/STOP - This button starts the treadmill belt moving. There is a 4 second countdown built in as a safety feature to let you know the treadmill belt is about to start moving.

10 INCLINE WINDOW • INCLINE: Indicates incline in percent of grade 0-12% in 1 increments • PULSE (835HR Model Only): In dicates current heart rate • HEART “ ♥ ” (835HR Model only): In dicates control panel is receiving a signal from heart rate transmitter.
11 Pr og r am and Oper a ting Instr uctions QUICK ST ART / MANUAL MODE • Plug into a standard wall outlet (110-Volt AC, 15-amp circuit). • ATTACH THE RED SAFETY KEY TO CENTER OF CONSOLE . • Stand on the treadmill and straddle belt. • Press POWER button.

14 Pr og r am Pr ofiles The FAT BURN program is designed to vary treadmill elevation while maintaining a constant walking speed. Set the desired maxim um speed and incline, and the tread mill will automatically change the inclin e to the set amount, alternating in segments 2-3, 5-6, an d 8-9.
15 Belt Adjustment and T ension WARNING! Do not overtighten ro llers! This will cause premat ure roller bearing failure! Belt adjustment and tension perfor ms two functions: adj ustment for tension a nd centering. Your new treadmill comes pre-adjusted from t he factory for tension and centering.
16 Maintenance Instr uctions WARNING! Before performing any ma intenance to your treadmill, always unplug the power cord from the surge protector. CLEANING Routine cleaning of your Alliance Fitnes s treadmill will extend the life of your treadmi ll.
17 T roubleshooting Guide T readmill will not start. 1) Is the RED Safety Key Attached t o the Console? 2) Make sure the power cord is plugged into a surge protector, the surg e protector is plugged into a properly grounded outle t, and the surge protector is turned on.
