4 Quick Start Guide 1) Install the Software Insert the CD, click the “HuntFXi Setup W izard” button and follow the onscreen directions to install the HuntFXi sof tware on your PC (Windows 2000 or later , with an “always on” internet connection).
5 INST ALLA TION and SETUP INSTRUCTIONS STEP 1: INST ALL THE SOFTW ARE Before connecting or operating the Transmitter or Receiv er hardware, you should install the HuntFXi sof tware program on your PC, as they will not function without the software.
6 move the cursor down to the “Edit Location” button that pops up below it (Fig. 3) -click on this, and the main weather data screen will change to the Location Settings window (Fig. 4) . Normally you should set your current location or “home city” in the r st location box (still highlighted in yellow at the top).
7 STEP 4: SETTING UP THE RECEIVER UNIT The Receiver may be powered by batteries or from the included AC adapter . To use the AC adapter , insert the round plug into the jack on the lo wer left side of the unit, then connect it to a w all outlet.

14 1. Be sure that you are using Windows 2000, XP or V ista and your PC is connected to the Internet. You need to have Microsof t .NET Framework 1 . 1 driver installed in your PC in order t o complete the installation of the HuntFXi program.
15 6. In the rst few minutes of RF reception from the USB T ransmitter , the R eceiver may show data on only par t of the scr een-this is normal. The rest of the screen display data will gradually appear in the next 1 0 minutes or more.
