The One T ouch Buttons on the scanner mirror the softwar e One T ouch Button Panel. Changing the button settings on the One T ouch Button Panel makes the same changes to th e buttons on the scanner .

BMP and TIFF are st andard image file formats gener ally used if you want to do additional image processin g, such as photo touch- up or color correction.

Always send a file, even when no text wa s found —The scanned file is sent to the OCR reader even if the image does not appea r to contain text.

Scanning 44 Xerox 7600 Scanner User ’s Guide Scanning with Optical Ch aracter Recognition (OCR) Optical Character Recognition (OCR) converts text and numbe rs on a scanned pa ge into editable text and numbers. Y ou can then work with the text and numbers to edit, spellcheck, change font or type size, sort, calculate, and so forth.

The process is idea l for archiving documents without having to man ually save or process them in any other way .
