Safety notices Safety notices Please observe the following notices very closely when setting up, connecting and operating the Ergophone 307: Only connect the connection cables to sockets designated for this use. Install the connection cables in a safe manner.

Assignment of keys Assignment of keys On/Off : Switches the answering machine's functions on or off. Message : Starts and stops the playback of messages. Next : Skips to the next message during playback. Back : Repeats the current message. Skips to the previous message if pressed twice in quick succession during playback.

Service In Austria, slot F corresponds to this symbol: and slot N corresponds to this symbol . Use the enclosed TST adaptor in place of the TAE adaptor. In Switzerland, a T+T83 A12 socket should be used, into which you should insert the enclosed T+T connection cable.

Switching on and off Switching on and off Your Ergophone 307 can save up to twenty messages with a maxi- mum duration of two minutes each. If there are already twenty mes- sages stored on the device, the oldest message will automatically be deleted. However, a message will only be deleted if you have al- ready listened to it at least once.
Playing back messages Playing back messages Playing back new messages The LED will flash and the display will show the number of new mes- sages. Press "Message". Y ou can set the volume by using the volume control. Playback of the new messages which you have not yet listened t o will begin.
Playing back messages Repeating a message Press the "Back" key during playback. The current message will be re- peated. twice Press the "Back" key twice in quick succession during playback. Playback will skip to the previous message.
Announcement Announcements General Your Ergophone 307 has an announcement function that can be customised. The announcement can be between two and thirty se- conds long. Example of an announcement Hello, you've reached Hermine and Manfred Müller in Ratingen.
Announcement Checking the announcement Press the "Record" key again. Y ou can set the volume by using the volume control. Y our announcement will play back.
Preferences Preferences Language settings You can choose to have the operating instructions in German, Eng- lish, French, Italian or Dutch. Press the "Language" key. Y ou will hear the language that is currently in use. Press the "Language" key several times.
