INS T ALL A TION 1 Insert the mic r ocassette. Slide the c o v er down and insert the microcassette with the full reel at the bottom . Replace the co v e r . 1 2 Connect the line cord. Plug the line cord into a modular w all ja c k. 3 Connect a telephone (optional).
OPER A TION 2 Repeat all or part of a message / Reco r d a memo or phone conversation Skip all or part of a message / Reco r d outgoing message Mic r ophone Begin message playback / Stop or pause mess.
2 P r ess and hold A f or t w o seconds , then release the button and w ait f or the system to beep. 3 After the beep , speak to w ard the microphone , f r om about nine in c hes a w a y . 4 P r ess and release p , w hen y ou a r e finished . The tape resets automatical l y and pl a ys the announcement , and the MESS A GE light goes on.
Priority Call Signal When a caller ente r s the P r io r ity Calling Code f r om a tou c h tone phone , the system beeps loud l y to ale r t y ou that you ha v e a p r iority call . Y ou ’ ll need to provide select calle r s with the P r io r ity Calling Code (p r eset to 1235) in o r der f or them to use this f eature.
V olume Cont r ol This system has eight volume le v els ; ea c h time you p r ess the app r op r iate button , the v olume increases or decreases one le v el . T o increase v olume , pr ess and r eleas e + . T o dec r ease volume , press and r elease - .

When th e T ape is Full When the r ecording side of the tape is complete l y full , the system beeps , the MESS A GE light f lashes r apid l y , and the system tu r ns itself o f f because it cannot r ecord a caller ’ s messa g e .
Remote Acces s Code Y ou can use ma n y f eatures of this an s wering system remote l y from a tou c h tone phone . Most f eatu r es can be accessed only after y ou enter a Remote Access Code . (The preset Remot e Access Code is p r inted on the label on the bottom of the an s wering system.
Room Monitor Y ou can call the an s w e r ing system and listen to a n y activity in the r oom f or 15 seconds. 1 Connect with the answering system and listen to messages. 2 P r es s 3 3 . Y ou can listen after the beep. 3 After 15 seconds , the system e xits Room Monitor and beeps twice.
If this an s w ering system does not wo r k proper l y , t r y the f ollowing sug g estions. If y ou ’ r e still having di f f icult y , call 1 800 722–9125. If the MESSAGE light flashes rapidly: • The tape is full. • No out g oing announcement is r ecorded.
IN C ASE OF DIFFICU L TY If the system does not r espond to r emote commands: • Make su r e y ou a r e calling from a tou c h tone telephone . If y ou hear cli c ks when y ou dial , the phone is not a tou c h tone phone. • There might be noise or inter f erence on the phone line .
