2 1. System Requirements • Personal com puter , lapt op, desktop or IB M compatible w ith Pentium 166 MHz minimum, and w ith an activ e USB (Universal S erial Bus) port. • Windows 98/2 000 / XP / Vist a /Windows7 , CD R OM drive, color monit or , mouse an d keyboard.
3 3. Name of part s We strongly suggest using a clean, dry, non -alcohol cotton swab to insert i nto the film sca nner slot and clean the glass surface periodically to p roduce a clea r image. Please make s ure your film, sl ide and holder ar e clean before i nserting into the scanner as well.
4 4 How to install slides and film into the tray holder a. Open the film h older as illustra ted b. Put a film/sli de in the film/sli de slot as show n.
5 5. Insert and take out SD card ( optional ) • Insert SD car d before scanni ng. • Built in memory will be suspended w hen the SD card is in use. • Please cl ose and then o pen the cov er after card i nserted. Note: This device does not suppor t hot-plug.
6 • Select Home Press S t art button to ba ck to capture mode. • Scanning T ype T o enter th e Film T ype, you can us e the Left or Right button t o select, press t he S tart b utton to confirm. Slide: Y ou need select the S lide mode w hen you scanner the slide.
7 P AL: Setting the T V Output to P AL. • Exposure v alue To enter the E V mode, press the EV button directly .Also you can pre ss the Left or Right button to select, and press S tart button to confirm. Exposure comp ensation helps y ou change the ex posure setting man ually to adjust obj ect lighting.
8 • Slide Show Use the Slid e Show feature to continue displ ay your photo s on the scanner screen pan el. Once selected the Slide Show Mode, camera w ill automatically play all the photos. Pr ess any button to stop the slide s how . • Delete One Select the to delete current image.
9 • Exit Select the icon, and p ress S tart button to confi rm, then you will b ack the playbac k mode. 7. Downloading Imag es to Y our Computer For Windows 98/ME cus tomers: When conne cted the scan ner to the comp uter with the USB cable, the “USB Mass S torage dri ver” appears on the compu ter screen .
10 8. Installing the sof tware • Installing the soft ware 1. Insert the i nstallation C D into the CD -ROM drive and the i nstallation CD menu shou ld appear . 2. When you see the foll owing screen, choose “ Arcs oft So ftw ar e S ui t e ” to install the softw are.

12 9. Now you can start to edit the picture as you like: First , click on the “ PhotoImpression 6 ” icon on the desktop. Follow the instruction s to open the sof tware, and click on the pic ture to select, t hen use the Arc soft tools to edit the pictu res.

14 How to acquire images from a T WAIN compliant device: 1. Select a sc anner or othe r TW AIN device from the drop do wn list. 2. Choose the file format y ou want to use for the acquire d images (JPG). 3. If you've select ed JPG as the file forma t, select the image qu ality for the acqu ired images (Highest , High, Normal, Low ).
