NetGear Print Server Manual 13 3-3 Browser Menu selections and Configuration Screens This section describes the browser menu selections and corresponding configuration screens. The menu at t he left panel of the brow ser m ay vary . It depends on whi ch NET GEAR Print Ser ver model y ou have.
NetGear Print Server Manual 14 Configure Se rver Clicking the Configure Server menu selection brings up the Configure Server screen. The Configure Server screen contains fields to change the print server name and to enable or disable the various network protocols supported by the print server.
NetGear Print Server Manual 15 Configure Server Fi elds Print Server Name Choose a descriptive name for the print server for identification purposes. This name is used in all protocols to identify the specific print server. There is a factory default name.
NetGear Print Server Manual 16 TCP/IP The TCP/IP configuration screen is used to configure the IP address of the print server. Figure 3-3 shows the TCP/IP configuration screen and following table lists its fields, describes the functions, and explains how to provide information in each field.
NetGear Print Server Manual 17 AppleTalk The NETGEAR Print Server supports AppleTalk (EtherTalk), PAP, ATP, NBP, ZIP and DDP protocols, enabling Apple computers on the network to view and use the Print Server as a regular AppleTalk printer. The NETGEAR Print Server is enabled for AppleTalk printing by default.

NetGear Print Server Manual 57 Assign a static I P address to y our print server by r eferring to “Assig ning an IP Address to the Print Server Using A RP”. With all four m ethods of IP address resolution, the prin t server loses the I P setting after reset or a power loss.

Also make sure that you have a unique name for each of the NETGEAR print servers on the network.
