4 Battery Installation/Replacement • T o use the unit, you must install batteries. • Open battery cover as illustrated. Install or replace two new batteries, making sure the polarities (+ and -) on the battery match the polarities on the case. • Replace battery cover .
Measurement NOTE: Unit measures on inflation. • T o start the measurement Press the “ON/OFF” switch. • Initial display . • Pumping. • Measuring and Beeping sounds. • Once the blood-pressur e measurement has stabi- lized, pressurization is discontinued and the air in the cuff is automatically let out.
6 • Blood pressur e values and pulse rate are alternately displayed. The unit will continue to display the measurement until power is turned off. • T ur n Power off Press the “ON/OFF” switch to turn off. NOTE: To discontinue a measurement for any reason, press the “Power/Start” switch.
7 Setting the Clock Enter the setting mode by pressing and hold- ing the MEMORY key for over three seconds. The display will show a blinking year . Press the ON/OFF key to adjust the year when it is blinking.
Memory Recall • Y ou can recall stor ed data by pressing the “Memory Recall” switch at any time, EXCEPT while taking a measurement. • Up to 42 sets of measurement r esults can be stored in memory . Memory cell No. 1 is always used to store the newest set of r esults.
