English 5 4 ON/OFF (O/I) button ST ART ( ) button OMRON 705IT is a compact, fully automatic blood pressure monitor , operating on the oscillometric principle. It measures your blood pressure and pulse rate simply and quickly . It contains an intelligent “fuzzy logic” system for controlled inflation, known as “Intellisense”.
English 7 6 How to set time and date How to apply the cuf f (when wrapping on your left arm) ➊ When the batteries are installed, the display will show 0:00. ➋ Press and hold the SET button. The year digits (2002) will flash. ➌ Press the ADJUST button to advance the digit(s) one at a time.
English 9 8 ➎ Pull the cuff so that the top and bottom edges are tightened evenly around your arm. ➏ When the cuff is positioned correctly , close the velcro fastener FIRML Y . ➐ Make certain the cuff fits snugly around your arm. The cuff should make good contact with your skin.
English 11 10 START Continue to press button ➍ When the measurement is complete, the cuff completely deflates and your blood pressure and pulse rate are displayed. NOTE : The monitor automatically stores blood pressure and pulse rate into the memory .
English 13 12 How to use the computer interface This blood pressure monitor has a computer interface and is supplied with software to transfer the memory of the blood pressure monitor to your personal computer .
English 15 14 How to use the software Open the BPFile application from the program list or your desktop and the following screen is shown on the screen. • By pressing the “DA T A” button you are able to transfer the memory of your 705IT blood pressure monitor to your personal computer .
English 17 16 • Before measuring, stretch your back and sit up straight, breath normally 5-6 times, relax your shoulders, arms and entire body . • Slightly bend and support your elbow (e.g. on a table). • Do not move, talk or touch the device during measurement.
English 19 18 Maintenance and storage T echnical data • For cleaning the monitor only use a soft, lightly moistened cloth. Do not use petroleum spirits, thinners or similar solvents ! • Stains on the cuff can be carefully removed using a moist cloth and soapy water .
