There are two method s you can use to connect the H P Photosmart to your computer using an ad hoc wire less network connection. Once connected, you can install the HP Photosmart software. Turn on the wire less radio for th e HP Photosmart and the wi reless radio on your computer.
1. In the Control Panel , double-click Netw ork and Internet , then Net work and Sharing Center .. 2. In the Network a nd Shari ng Center (under Ta sks on the le ft), select Set up a connection o r network . 3. Choose th e connecti on option Set up a wireless ad hoc (computer-to-compu ter) network , then click Next .
f .I n t h e Confirm network key box, type the same WEP key you t y ped in the previous step. NOTE: You must remember the exact uppercase (capital) and l o wercase (small) letters. If you enter your WEP key incorr ectly on the pr oduct, the wireless connecti on will fail.
4. On the Connecti on Type screen, select an approp riate option, an d then click Ne xt . The Searching scre en appears as the Setup program searches fo r the product on the netw ork. 5. On the Printer Found screen, verify t hat the pri nter descrip tion is correc t.
