• Consider getti ng replacement print cartridges w hen you recei ve a low-ink w arning message. Th is avoids possible printing de lays. You do not need to replace the print cartridges unt il print quali ty becomes unaccepta ble. • Make sure the printh ead is clean.

There are two method s you can use to connect the HP Pho tosmart to your computer using an ad hoc wire less networ k connection. Once connected, you can install t he HP Photosmart software. Turn on the wirele ss radio for the H P Photosmart and t he wireless radio o n your computer.
1. In the Control Panel , double-click Netw ork and Internet , then Net work and Sharing Center .. 2. In the Network a nd Sharin g Center (u nder Task s on the le ft), select Set up a connection o r network . 3. Choose th e connecti on option Set up a wireless ad hoc (computer-to-compu ter) network , then click Next .
f .I n t h e Confirm network key box, type the same WEP key you t yped in the previous step. NOTE: You must remember the exact uppercase (capit al) and lowercase (small) letters. If you enter your WEP key incorrectly on the product, the wireless connecti on will fail.
6. Follow the pro mpts to install the software. When you ha ve finished inst alling the softw are, the p roduct is ready f or use. 7. To test your ne twork connectio n, go to your computer and pri nt a self-test repo rt to the product.
