Control panel features 1 On : Turns the product on or off. When the product is off, a minimal am ount of power is still used. To completely remove power, turn off the product, then u nplug the power cord. 2 Cancel : Stops the curre nt operation. 3 Scan : Starts a scan of an original placed on the glass.

TIP: You can easi ly select the ap propriate op tions for your print job by choosi ng one of the pred efined print task s on the Printing Shortcuts tab.
7. In the Resi zing Options area, click the appropri ate paper size from the Size list. If the paper size and paper type are not comp atible, the product software displays an alert and allow s you to select a dif ferent type or size. 8. In the Basi c Options area, select a hi gh print quality, such as Best , from the Print Quality drop -down list.
9. Select the Borde rless printing check box if it is not already checked. If the bo rderless paper size and pape r type are not co mpatible, the product software displays an aler t and allows you to select a different t y pe or size. 10. Click OK , and then click Print or OK in the Prin t dialog box.
6. Click the Features tab, and then select the f ollowing print setti ngs: • Paper Type : Plain paper • Size : An appropria te envelope size 7. Select any other prin t settings that you want, and then click OK .

Print iron-o n transfer s 1. Slide the paper gui de all the way to the left. 2. Place the iron-on tra nsfer paper in the right side of the tra y . The side to be printed on should face down. 3. Print a Web page You can print a Web pag e from your Web browser on the HP All- in-One. If you use Int ernet Explorer 6.0 or higher for W eb browsing, you can use HP Smart Web Printing to ensure simple, p redictable we b printing with control ove r what you want and how you want it print ed.

Use printing shortcuts Use printing shortcu ts to print with pri n t settings that you use often. The printer soft ware has several speciall y designed print ing shortcuts that are available in the Printing Shortcuts list. NOTE: When you sel ect a printing sh ortcut the appropriate printing options are automatically di splayed.
NOTE: Only the shortcu ts that you have creat ed can be deleted. The o riginal HP shortcuts cannot be deleted. Set the default print settings If there are sett ings that you frequent ly use for printi.
3 Paper basics You can load many diffe rent types and sizes of paper in t he HP All-in-One, including letter or A4 paper, p hoto paper, transparencies, and envelopes.

Order ink supplies For a list of cartridge n u mbers, use the software tha t came with th e HP All-in-One to find out the reorder nu mber. Find the cartr idge number 1. In the H P Soluti on Cente r, click Settings , point to Print Settings , and then cl ick Printer Toolbo x .
Automatically clean print cartridges If your printed pages a re faded or if they contain ink st reaks, the print cartridges might be low on ink or m ight need to be cleaned. F or more information, see “ Check the estimated ink levels” on page 3 7 .
4. Inspect the print cartridge contacts f or ink and debri s buildup. 5. Dip a clean foa m rubber swab or lint-free cloth in to distilled water, and squeeze any excess wate r from it. 6. Hold the print cartridge by its sides. 7. Clean only the copper-colored contacts.

Store photo me dia in its original packagi ng inside a resealable plastic bag on a f lat surface in a cool, dry place. When you are ready to print, remove o nly the paper you plan to use im mediately. When you have fin ished printing, return any unused photo paper to the p lastic bag.

3. Print a document wit h little or no text. 4. Check the back of the paper for ink. If t here is still ink on th e back of the pape r, try printing o n another page of plain pap er. Cause: Ink accumulated inside th e product, where the back of the pap er rests during p rintin g.

• No scan options • Out of disk space Cannot crop Try the followi ng solutions to resolve the issue. So lutions are list ed in order, with the m ost likely solution f irst. If the first soluti on does not solve the pro blem, continue trying th e remaining solu tions until the issue is resolved.
Out of disk space Solution: Close some ap plications and try the task a gain. Cause: There was not enough a vailable memory on your computer to perform the task. Paper message s The following is a list of paper-rela ted error messages: • Ink is drying Ink is drying Solution: Leave the sh eet in the out put tray unt il the message disapp ears.
Non-HP cartri dges instal led Solution: Follow the prom pts on the c omputer screen to continu e or replac e the indicated print cartri dges with genuine HP cartridge s.
Cause: The ori ginal HP ink in the indicated print cartri dges was deplet ed. Low on ink Solution: Ink level warnings and indicators provide est imates for pla nning purposes only. When you re ceive a low-ink warn ing message, consi der having a replacement cartridge avail able to avoid p ossible printin g delays.

5. Reinsert the pri nt cartridge by sliding it forward into the slot on the rig h t. Then push the print cartridge forward until it clicks in to the socket. 6. Repeat steps 1 an d 2 for the tri-color print cartridge on the left side. Cause: The i ndicated print cartri dges were inst alled incorrectly.
7. Clean only th e copper-colored contacts. Allo w the print cart ridges to dry for approxim ately ten min utes. 1 Coppe r-colored contacts 2 Ink nozzles (do not clean) 8. Hold the p rint cartridge with the HP logo on top, and insert the print cartridge ba ck into the slot.
Check to see if your prin t cartridge is stil l under warranty and end of w arranty date has not been reached. • If the end of warranty date has been reached , purchase a new pr int cartrid ge. • If the end of warra nty date ha s not been reached, contact HP support.
Print cartridg es in wrong slot Solution: Make su re the print cartridges are in st alled into the correct slots. If they are, remove and reinsert the prin t cartridges and verify th at they are fully inserted and locked in pl ace. To make sur e the print cartr idges are installed c orrectly 1.
