There are two methods you can use to connect the HP Photosma rt to your computer using an ad hoc wirele ss network conne ction. Once conne cted, you ca n install t he HP Photosmart soft ware. Turn on the wirele ss radio for the HP Phot osmart and the wi reless radio on your comp uter.
1. In the Control Panel , double-click Network an d Internet , then Network and Sharing Center .. 2. In the Network and S haring Cente r (under Tasks on the le ft), select Set up a connection or network . 3. Choose the co nnectio n option Set up a wireless ad hoc (computer-to-compu ter) network , then click Next .
f .I n t h e Confirm network key box, type the same WEP key you typed in the previous step. NOTE: You must remember the exact uppercase (capital) and lowercase (small) letters. If yo u enter your WEP key incorrectly on the product, the wireless connection will fail.
4. On the Connection Type screen, select an approp riate option, and then click Next . The Searching screen a ppears as the Setup progra m searches for the product o n the network. 5. On the Printer Found screen, verify tha t the printe r description is correct.
