MODE S T 1 T 1 KL D F FA M DIS KTS MPH Fa ria Pilot I Description The F aria Pilot I system is a multifunctional instr ument designed to giv e tw o simultaneous readouts of sev eral different and independent functions on an upper and lo wer LCD displa y .
Installation: CA UTION: Disconnect the battery during installation. T ighten nuts on the backclamp only slightl y more than you can tighten with your fingers. Six inch- pounds of torque are sufficient. Ov er- tightening could result in damage to the instrument and may v oid your w ar ranty .
Operation: Pow e r ON: The Pilot I instrument will tur n on when the ignition key s witch is set to the r un position. When the ignition key switch is turned to the off position, the Pilot I will turn off. *If the mode button is accidentally pressed for an extended period of time the unit will enter a diagnostic OFF Mode.
Selecting upper or lo wer acti ve displa y: Activ ate the Select Mode and while the displa y is flashing, press the “Up” ar ro w to select the upper displa y as active or the “Do wn” ar ro w to select the lo wer displa y as the active displa y .
If no buttons are pushed within 5 seconds, the Pilot will rev er t automaticall y to the Normal Mode . Y ou can also enter the Edit Mode w hile in the Select Mode . The Pilot displa y will then stop flashing (Select Mode) indicating the change to the Edit Mode .
will flash on the LCD next to the “S” and the audible alarm will sound rapidly . When the deep depth setting is read by the depth sounder , the Function Indicator will flash on the LCD next to the “D” and the audible alarm will sound at 2 beeps per second.
Press and hold the “MODE” button until the Pilot beeps to select the Edit Mode . Continue pressing the “MODE” button quickly until the Function Indicator points to the “KL ” indicating the keel offset function. Press and hold only the “Do wn” ar ro w key pad to adjust the reading to the desired depth.
Continue pressing the “MODE” button again until the Function Indicator is pointing to either the left(T1) or the right(T1). Starting and Stopping the Timer . Press either “Up” or “Do wn” ar ro w button to start or stop the timer at any time.
Setting the clock: Press and hold the “MODE” button until the Pilot beeps to select the Edit Mode . Press the “Up” or “Do wn” ar ro w keypads once to set each minute. Press and hold the “Up” or “Do wn” ar ro w ke ypads to set the hours.
Selecting the Speedometer Units. Press and hold the “MODE” button until the Pilot beeps to select the Edit Mode . Continue pressing the “MODE” button quickly until the lo wer displa y reads “Un” (units).
Continue pressing the “MODE” button again until the Function Indicator is pointing to DIS. (The Function Indicator will also automatically point to the last unit type selected. Y ou are no w in the Distance Log Function Selecting the Distance Log Units.

W ater & Air / Bait-well T emperatur e Description: The Pilot I will monitor water surface temperature. The (Setting units F ahrenheit (F), or Centigrade (C), in either function sets the units for both).
V oltmeter: Description: The V oltmeter continuously monitors the battery system voltage supplied to the Pilot I. The V oltmeter has a user adjustable lo w and high voltage alarm feature.
Press the “MODE” button. The upper displa y changes to “bAtH” and the lo wer displa y shows the current high voltage w arning setting. Press either the “Up” or “Do wn” ar ro w button to adjust the high voltage alarm setting.
