2 G ETTING S TARTED Your LCD monitor is versatile, ergonomic, and above all easy t o use. The LCD monit or is capable of displaying most sta ndards, f rom 640 x 480 VGA to 1280 by 1024 SX GA. Th e front-panel co ntrols allow you t o easily adjus t the monito r’s display paramet ers to suit your habits.
3 Unpacking After you unpack the mo nitor, m ake sure the fo llowing items are included in the box and are in good condition: LCD monitor Power adapter Power cord Floppy/CD-ROM (containing Windows information file) This user’s manual If you find that any of thes e items are mis si ng or appear damaged, contact yo ur dealer immediately.
4 Identifying Components and Controls The follow ing figure sho ws the monit or’s pow er button, s tatus LED, and On-Screen Display (OSD) controls: The controls are described below: AUTO button Automatically adjusts the picture and performance.
5 Adjusting the Monitor’s Tilting Angle Your LCD monit or’s vertical tilt ing angle can be adjusted for co mfortable viewing. To adjus t the tilting angle, grasp th e top corners of the monitor with both hands and tilt to th e desired angle. Warning! Forcing the monitor past it s maximum extension can result in damage to the monitor.
6 Connecting AC Power Refer to the follo wing instructio ns for connecting AC pow er to the LCD monit or. 1. Plug the female end of the po wer cable into t he AC-adapter and the male end of the power cord int o a wall so cket. (The plug on t he power cable will vary according to the elect rical standard for your area.
7 Connecting Video 1. Turn o ff the PC and the LCD monit or be fore connecting your LCD monitor to the computer. 2. Co nnect the VGA cable to t he PC’s VGA port .
8 C USTOMIZING YOUR M ONITOR This section covers t he LCD monitor’ s On-Screen Display (OSD), and fro nt panel control buttons. Adjusting the Monitor’s Display The LCD mo nitor features an int uitive, menu-driven, OSD. Y ou can access the OSD any t i m e t h a t t h e P C i s p o w e r e d u p .
9 6. Use the DOWN or UP buttons to select a new menu item. 7. Push the AUTO button once to save settings and return to th e Group sel ection menu. 8. Push the AUT O button again to exit the OSD.

To position the OSD w indow to yo ur preference, select OSD Posi tion from the menu. 2. Use the RIGHT and LEFT buttons to move the displ ay through its av ailable positions.
13 Selecting a Language 1. To select the language in which you wish the OSD t o appear, select Language from the me nu. 2. Use the RIGHT and LEFT buttons to toggle thr ough the availabl e languages shown at t he botto m of the windo w. 3. Pu sh the AUTO button once to save settings and retur n to the Group se lection menu.
14 Information Select Information fr om the menu to displ ay the monitor’s name and model number. Backlight 1. To set the brigh tness of the monitor ’s backlight, sel e ct Backlight f r om the menu. 2. Use the RIGHT and LEFT buttons to set th e brightness as desired on the 1-100 scale.
15 T ROUBLESHOOTING Troubleshooting Procedures This LCD monitor come s p re -ad justed with stand ar d VGA timing. Due to outp ut timing differences among various VGA cards, you may initially experience an unstable or unclear display when a new display m ode or new VGA card is s elected.
