3 W ARNING • Never use natural gas in a unit designed f or liquid propane gas. • Never use c harcoal or wood briquets in a gas grill. Flav oring chips m ust be contained in a metal smoking bo x to contain ash and prevent fires.
4 W ARNING W ARNING LP GAS CYLINDER (NO T SUPPLIED WITH THIS GRILL) The LP cylinder is a vailable f or purchase at the same location the grill was pur chased. The LP (Liquid Propane) gas c ylinder specifically designed to be used with this grill must ha ve a 20 lb.
5 The cylinder must also be equipped with: • A shut-off v alve terminating in a T ype 1 gas cylinder valv e outlet. • A T ype 1 v alve that pre vents gas flo w until a positive seal is obtained. • An arrangement f or vapor withdr awal. • A collar to protect the cylinder shut-off v alve.
FILLING THE LP GAS CYLINDER: • Allow onl y qualified LP gas dealers to properl y fill or repair your LP gas cylinder . • New tanks should be pur g ed prior to filling; inform LP gas dealer if y ou are using a new tank. • DO NO T allow the cylinder to be filled be yond 80% capacity .
7 W ARNING • Never use y our grill without leak testing all gas connections and hoses. See the section on "Leak T esting" in this manual for pr oper procedures. The pressure regulator and hose assembl y supplied with your gas grill must be used.
LEAK TESTING: T o prevent fire or explosion hazar d: • DO NO T smoke or permit ignition sources in the area while conducting a leak test. • P erform test OUTDOORS only in a well ventilated area. • Never perf orm a leak test with a match or open flame.
W ARNING 9 6. Chec k each place listed (A – K) f or growing b ubbles which indicates a leak. 7. T ur n off gas supply at cylinder valv e. 8. T ur n on control knobs to release gas pressure in hose. 9. T ur n control knobs to "OFF" position.
LIGHTING INSTR UCTIONS: Follow the instructions e xactly . 1. OPEN THE GRILL LID before attempting to light a burner so that fumes do not accum ulate inside the grill. An explosion could occur if grill lid is down. 2. Check that all b urner control knobs and the cylinder v alve are turned to the "OFF" position.
LIGHTING THE RO TISSERIE B URNER: 1. Open gr ill hood bef ore lighting rotisser ie b ur ner . 2. Make sure control knob is in the "OFF" position. 3. Push and turn the control knob of that burner to the "HIGH" position. Continue to push in control knob while pressing electronic igniter f or 3 – 5 seconds.
12 MA TCH LIGHTING THE SIDE BURNER: 1. Open the lid to the side b ur ner before lighting. 2. Make sure control knob is in the "OFF" position. 3. Strike and carefully place a match appro ximately 1/2" (1 to 2 cm) from the burner . 4. T ur n the side burner control knob to the "HIGH" position.
13 OPERA TING THE GRILL: Never use c harcoal or wood briquets in a gas grill. Flav oring chips m ust be contained in a metal smoking bo x to contain ash and prevent fires. Read and follow all warnings and instructions contained in the preceding sections of this manual.
R O TISSERIE COOKING: • This grill has pre-drilled mounting holes for a rotisserie. Do not use a rotisserie not specifically manuf actured for this g r ill. • Read and f ollow all warnings and instr uctions in the owner’ s manual provided with the rotisserie.
15 GRILL COOKING TIPS CLEANLINESS • Alwa ys wash hands thoroughly with soap and hot water prior to handling f ood and after handling raw meat, uncooked poultry or seafood.
16 BURNER ASSEMBL Y/MAINTENANCE • Although y our bur ners are constructed of cast-iron, they ma y corrode as a result of the e xtreme heat and acids from cooking f oods. Regularly inspect the burners for crac ks, abnormal holes, and other signs of corrosion damage.
17 TRANSPOR TING AND ST ORA GE: • Never mo ve a grill when it is hot or when objects are on the cooking surfaces. • Make sure that cylinder v alve is shut off. After moving the grill chec k that all gas connections are free of leaks. Refer to instructions for Leak T esting.
18 TR OUBLE SHOO TING Prob lem: P ossible Causes: 1. Chec k LP cylinder fuel lev el. 2. Bad electrode spark. Check to see if the g r ill will match light. Electrode or collector ma y need adjustment. 3. Burner may not be properly seated. 4. Burner may be obstructed.
19 Y our grill's ser ial number and model number , and the contact inf ormation for Brinkmann Customer Ser vice, are listed on a silv er label found on the bac k of the gr ill or on the grill body side, under the side shelf . These questions and ans wers are for y our general knowledge , and may not be applicab le to your model grill.
Cleaning Stainless Steel Cooking Grills: W ash grills with a mild detergent and r inse with hot water bef ore initial use and as needed. DO NOT use a commercial o ven cleaner . F or stubbor n f ood residue, use a degreaser and fiber or brass cleaning brush.

24 Choose a good, cleared assembly area and get a friend to help you put your g r ill together . Lay cardboard down to protect g r ill finish and assembly area. CA UTION! Some par ts ma y contain shar p edges. W ear protective glov es if necessar y . Step 1 Attach car t base to side panels.
25 Note: With the help of a fr iend, turn the car t to its upright position. Step 4 Place tank tra y assembly o ver v ent holes in bottom car t panel and secure using f our M6 X 15mm bolts. T ank tra y should slide in and out of car t freely . Step 5 Install door brac ket using f our M6 X 50mm bolts and two M6 X15mm bolts.
26 Note: When performing Step 7, Lift grill body from front and rear panels to av oid injur y to hands and fingers. Step 7 With the help of a friend, place grill body assembly on cart frame. Gr ill body will rest on the side bars of car t frame assemb ly .
Step 9 Attach right side door brack et to right front car t panel using two M4 X 10mm bolts. The right side door brac ket is stamped with an 'R.' Step 10 Attach left side door brac ket to left front car t panel using two M4 X 10mm bolts. The left side door brac ket is stamped with an 'L.
Spring Pin Hinge Pin 28 Step 13 Attach the door handles using two M4 X 40mm bolts. Step 14 Inser t hinge pin in bottom of right side door into hole at the bottom right front car t leg then align door with right side door brack et.
29 Step 16 Attach side table front panel to side table with three M6 X 15mm bolts with star washers . Step 17 Attach side burner front panel to side burner with three M6 X 15 bolts with star washers . Step 18 Attach side table to left side of g r ill body .
30 Step 19 Attach side burner assembly to right side of grill body . Inser t f our M6 X 15mm bolts halfwa y to the right side grill body panel. Place side burner assembly o ver bolts and slide down, then tighten securely . F asten side b ur ner front panel to grill body with one M4 X 10mm bolt.
31 Step 21 Remov e two bolts and washers from the side burner valv e. Inser t the side burner valv e assembly through the hole in the side burner table base , then fir mly seat the v alve nozzle into the b ur ner venturi. Hold in place while you perf orm Step 22.
32 Step 25 Inser t grease tra y into opening on backside of g r ill. Make sure to slide tra y onto trac ks as illustrated. Step 26 Slide grease cup into grease cup brac ket located under grill bottom on backside of g r ill. Step 27 Hang stainless steel buc ket in cut-out of left side table/ice b uck et assembly .
33 Igniter Cap Batter y Cooking Grills Heat Distribution Plates Groov es W ar ming Rack Step 29 Place the heat distribution plates on low er lev el of grill body assembly directly abo ve b ur ners. Step 30 Place cooking grills on suppor t ribs directly abov e heat distribution plates.
