- 10 - 1. MOUNTING BRACKET PREP ARATION • Use the s upplied A llen Key t o remove the setscrew fr om the supp lied mount ing bracket. • Separate the two sections of the mounti ng bracket.
- 11 - 2. CABLE / BRAC KET INSERTION EX30 Camera • Care fully feed th e Powe r/BNC cable th rough both sect ions of the mo unting bracket. • Make sure the cable is not kink ed, chaf ed, or sp lit during this pro cedure.

MOUNTING BRACKET ATTAC HMENT • Attach th e Mounting Bracket t o the Cam era’s Mountin g Bloc k using th e six bo lts supplie d with the br acket. • Snug th e two halves of the br acket t ogether with the Allen head set screw. • Tighte n the se tscrew e n ou gh so tha t the camera can be adjuste d for angle.

- 16 - 5. CAMERA LENS ADJU STMENTS AND SELECTING THE WINDOW For opti mum p icture q uality , the ca mera le ns should be as close as possible to th e insi de face of t he viewing window, wi thout touching. The camera is pre- focused with tel ephot o setting as fact ory default.
- 17 - 5.1. Vari Focal and “Auto-Ir is” Control Adjustme nts • Loosen the lens set screws for focus/zoom adjus tments. • The setscrew marked N ←→ ∞ is used for imag e focus. • The setscrew marked T ←→ W is used fo r telephoto or wide-a ngle sett ings.

For camera with vari- focal len s, the camera sh ould be fo cused wi th the len s iris fully opened to simu late the worst poss ible depth of field .
- 19 - 6. LED ARRAY - POWER ADJUSTMENTS If adjus tment is needed, remove the rear cover for access to the LRB . The EX30 needs to be po wered- up while making the LED power adjus tments. Cov er the pho tocell to tur n the LEDs “ON” (850nm LEDs will hav e a slight red glow).
