7 1. DESCRIPTION The EX27 camera is an all-weathe r system tha t incl udes a ll of th e best featu res o f a “p lug an d play” camera without compromi se to CCD optics and lens quality. Full size vari-f ocal a uto-ir is lenses a re inte grate d as standard equipme nt for simplified insta llation s.

11 5. INITIAL PREPARATIONS Dete rmine the op erat ing volt age at the installation site. All cameras have been te sted prior to shipmen t. Select a suitable l ocation that i s prote cted from accidental damage , tampering, and environmen tal conditio ns exceeding the camera’ s sp ecif ica tio ns.
12 6. GUIDELINES The follow ing ins tallatio n guideline s must be followed : Locate the camera such that it canno t be easily in terfered with, either inte ntionally or accidentally.
13 7. VOLTAGE INPUT The camera unit is pre -conne cted with an electrically isolated powe r board fo r 24VAC or 12VDC operation with no wiring change or wiring polarity. See figure 7-1 for wiring details. Note : Inpu t voltage is 10.5 VDC to 40VD C for DC input.

17 9. PHOTOCELL ADJUSTMENTS The photo cell settin gs are optim ally se t from the fact ory; only ad jus t thes e set t ings if ex peri enci ng undesired da y/night switching operation . To increase the nigh t switchin g sensi tivity turn the dial clockwi se, to increase the day switching sens itiv ity t urn t he dial c ount er-c lockw ise.

19 10. LENS ADJUSTMENTS Refer to figure 1 0-1 a nd fol low th e direc tions b elow: Loosen the lens set screw s for focu s/zoo m adjustmen ts. Th e adj ustmen t marke d T ←→ W is for image zoom. Th e adj ustmen t marked N ←→ ∞ is for ima ge focu s.

For va ri- focal l enses, th e camera s hould be focuse d with the lens iri s fully opened to simula te the worst possi ble depth of field.
21 11. OSD MENU SYSTEM 1. Follow the instructions in Section 8 to acce ss the OSD control s. 2. Enter th e OSD menu by pressing the joystick bu tton; to navigate through the menu use up, down , left and right. 3. Follow the instruct ions b elow to make camera adjustments.
