Basics About the BlackBerry Remote Stereo Gateway The BlackBerry® Remote Stereo Gateway is designed to enable you to wirelessly transmit music from your BlackBerry device to your home or portable stereo. The BlackBerry Remote Stereo Gateway does not use a battery; it is powered by the BlackBerry® Travel Charger.

LED notification The LED light on the BlackBerry® Remote Stereo Gateway displays different colors to indicate different statuses. LED color Description solid red The BlackBerry Remote Stereo Gateway is turned on. flashing blue and red The BlackBerry Remote Stereo Gateway is in pairing mode.

Using the BlackBerry Remote Stereo Gateway Prerequisites: Using the BlackBerry Remote Stereo Gateway • Verify that you are using a Bluetooth® enabled BlackBerry® device and that Bluetooth technology is turned on. • Verify that your BlackBerry device is running BlackBerry® Device Software version 4.
Pair with your BlackBerry device 1. Connect the smaller end of the BlackBerry® Travel Charger to the USB port on the side of the BlackBerry® Remote Stereo Gateway. 2. Depending on the type of BlackBerry Travel Charger that you have, insert the plug blade attachment into the power adapter or fold the plug blades down.
6. To pair with an additional BlackBerry device, hold the Power button on the BlackBerry Remote Stereo Gateway for 3 seconds until the LED light begins to flash red then blue. Complete steps 4 and 5. Note: If you have a third-party Bluetooth enabled device, you might be able to pair it with the BlackBerry Remote Stereo Gateway.
• If your stereo has RCA auxiliary input jacks, using the audio cable with RCA type connectors, connect the 3.5 mm stereo plug to the BlackBerry Remote Stereo Gateway and connect the two RCA type connectors to your stereo. 2. On your BlackBerry device, in the media application, play a song.

Troubleshooting The BlackBerry Remote Stereo Gateway does not turn on Try performing the following actions: • Verify that the smaller end of the BlackBerry® Travel Charger is securely connected to the USB port on the side of the BlackBerry® Remote Stereo Gateway.

• Verify that the volume of your stereo and your BlackBerry device is set to a comfortable listening level. • Verify that your BlackBerry device is playing a song or other audio file.
