P-870M-Ix Series User ’s Guide 2 1 Connections Y our P-870M-I Series (“P-870M-I”) is a VDSL2 modem. VDSL2 provides high-speed Internet access up to 100 Mbits per second (each way) through a telephone line.
3 P-870M-Ix Series User’s Guide 1 Use a telephone wire to connect the P-870M-I DSL port to the DSL (or MODEM ) port on a splitter . If you do not have a splitter , connect the DSL port directly to the telephone jack. 2 Use an Ethernet cable to connect the P-870M-I ETHERNET port to the computer .
