WBT-200 Operation: T emporarily press pow er button to turn it on. The bluetooth and GPS statu s LED will glow to co nfirm it is in GPS mode.

7 Part 5 Operation notes WBT-200 will do self-check on ce it is powered. Blue tooth and GPS start to work w hen both Bluetooth LED (glow s blue) and GPS LED (glows green ) turn s on. GPS automatically starts acq uisition and auto-logs. If sky is clear overhead, it r equires only 40 sec for acquisition.
8 After positioning, if auto-log function is activ ated, WBT-200 begins to auto-log the following way. Maximum data up to 25360 Points ( or more than). Recording in a circular w ay. Auto-logging goes on w ithout the need of any dev ice. Log-data can be re ad out using the G- Tool software included.

11 3 、 Use USB cord to connect WBT-200 to the USB port of computer. Computer will automatical ly check it and seek driver softw are by itself. If PC asks for “devic e manager” for addin g the new USB device following USB dev ice conne ction, take the procedu re below.

14 6 、 Immediately afterwards, PC w ill ask a gain to install “GPS Receiver Virtual Com Port” dr iver. Click “ next ”..

16 8 、 As in the illustration, the USB device (marked in red circle) is correctly installed to PC. The illustration also show s USB being transferred to Com Port assigned a s COM4. In the future, whenever the USB device is connected to USB port on th e computer, the COM 4 acts as the interface for data communication.
17 Part 7 Using with PDA Use of this w ith PDA for lo cation check. It is necessary to install GTOOL( PPC) first in your PDA. F ollow the following steps. Step 1 : Turn WBT -100 Bluetooth device Pow er on and then create Bluetooth connecti on with PDA.
18 2 、 Tap the Bluetoo th icon again and select the ”Bluetooth Manager”. 3 、 From Bluetooth Manager toolbar , tap ”New” to search for any other Bluetooth dev ices in its vicinity .
19 4 、 Tap “Explore a Bluetoo th device” to vi ew Bluetooth devices serv ices and create a shortcut to them. Click “ Next” to continue. 5 、 Tap “BT-GPS” icon to view the device serv ices.
20 6 、 Select “SPP slave” services an d tap “Next” to create a shortcu t to it. 7 、 Tap “Finish” to comple te procedure..
21 8 、 From the “My Shortcuts” tab, tap the “BT-GPS: SPP slave” icon and select the “Connect” option to connect to it . 9 、 When a connection is successfully established, the sh ortcut icon turns g reen.
22 Step 2 : Using GTOOL(PPC) fo r locating . The GTOOL(PPC) enables you to view your position by latitude and longitude, speed, h eading, and altitude. Make sure that the GTOOL(PPC) had been installed on your PDA as described in GPS CD. 1 、 Tap “ Start” and select the “ File Explorer ”item from the start menu.
23 2 、 At “My Device” t ab, tap the “Progra m Files”, then select “GT ool” case. 3 、 In the “GT ool” case, tap the GT ool icon to star t it.

28 Part 8 Tro uble shootin g The GPS signal will become w eak under the following conditions. If the vehicle enters the tunnel. The GPS signal tra nsmits linearly down to earth and its signal is blocked out in this situation. GPS satellite coverage gets poor beca use of high-rise building or thick forest.
29 Bluetooth connecti on takes 5 seconds for self-check. Each time the device is switched on; it needs 5 seco nds before connection. It is normal if the Bluetooth coverage might b ecome short sometimes due to e nvironmental interferences. USB driver must be installe d first before conne cting the dev ice to the USB port of computer.
