8 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Electrica l Connect ion Power Supp ly Cord Di re c t W i re 1. Discon nect power . 2. Remove the terminal block cover . 3. U nscrew t he strain r elief fr om the termina l block cover . 4. U nscre w the strain relief nut fr om the stra in reli ef.
9 6. Replace st rain relief (with p ower cord inserted ) back into t he termina l block co ver . Do not tigh ten strain r elief nu t. 7. Now comp lete installatio n following ins tructions for your t .
10 When connect ing to the te rminal block, p lace the hooke d end of the wire under the screw of the terminal block (hook facing right), squeeze hooked end togeth er and tigh ten sc rew . Se e example below . 1. Loca te th e ne utra l ground wire inside th e drye r cabi net, behind th e exter nal ground conducto r screw .
11 1. Loosen or r emove center terminal block scr ew . 2. Place t he hooked end of t he neutral w ire (white or center wire) of power supply cable un der the center sc rew of terminal block (hook facing right). Squeeze hooked end together . Tighten scr ew .
12 Determine vent pa th ■ Selec t the route that will provide the straigh test and mos t direct pat h outdoors. ■ Plan the i nstallati on to use t he fewest number of elbows and tur ns. ■ When usin g elbows or making turn s, allow as much room as possib le.
13 L e ve l D rye r Check the leve ln ess of t he dryer . Check levelness f ir st side to side, then fr ont to b ac k. If the dryer is not level, pr op up the dryer using a wood block. Us e a wrench to ad just the le gs up or down and check ag ain for le ve ln es s.
