5 Electrical Requirements IMPORT AN T : The cooktop mu st be electrical ly grounded in accordance with local codes and or dinances , or in the absence of local codes , with the Nation al Electrical Code, ANSI/NFP A 70 or Canadian Electrical Code, CSA C22.
6 Gas Supply Line ■ Provid e a gas supply line of ³⁄₄ " (1.9 cm) rig id pipe to th e cooktop location. A small er size pipe on longer runs may result in insuffici ent gas sup ply . Pipe- joint compounds t hat r esist the acti on of LP gas must be us ed.
7 INSTALLATION I NSTR UCTIONS Prepare Cooktop f o r Installation Decide on the final location for the cooktop. Av oid drilling into or severin g existing wiring during ins tallation. On Glass Cookt op models only: 1. Using 2 or more people, place the cooktop upside down on a covered surface.
8 6. Tighten screws ju st enough to hold brac kets in place w hen cooktop is put i n cutout. 7. Using 2 or mor e p eop le, turn the cooktop right side up and place in c utout. NOTE : Make sure that the front edge of the cooktop is parallel to the front edge of the countertop.
9 T ypical flex ible connection 1. Apply p ipe-joint compou nd made for use with LP ga s to the smaller th r e ad ends of the flexible connector ad apters (see G in the following illustration) . 2. Attach 1 adapter and nippl e to the gas pressure regulator and the other ad apter and nipple to the gas shutoff valve.

Connecter le rac cor d flex ible d'acier i noxydable au dét endeur - utiliser un raccord droit et un raccord d'adap tation comportant un filet age mâle de ½ ".
