7 Down draft V en t Sy stem The downdraft ven t system consists of a v ent cover , fil ter and a vent fan. The v ent system removes cooking vapors, odors and smoke from foods prepared on the cooktop. Do not run the ve nt system without the filter . The downdraft vent cover and filt er should be cl eaned often to prevent grease buildup .
