4 Electrical Requirements IMPORT AN T : The cooktop mu st be electrical ly grounded in accordance with local codes and or dinances , or in the absence of local codes , with the Nation al Electrical Code, ANSI/NFP A 70 or Canadian Electrical Code, CSA C22.
5 Flexible metal ap pliance connector: ■ If local code s permit, use a ⁵⁄₈ " flexi ble stainles s steel tubing gas connector , designed by CSA to connect the cooktop to the rigid gas supply li ne.
6 NOTE : The foam strip help s keep the u nders ide of the cooktop frame f r ee from debris and helps th e cooktop si t flat on unev en counte rs. Install Cooktop 1. Remove the 2 screws lo cated in each side of th e cooktop bur ner box. 2. Attach the 2 hold-down bracket s to the bur ner box.
7 IMPORT AN T : All con nections must be w r ench-t ightened. Do not make connections to the gas r egulator too tight. Making the connect ions too tight may crack the regulator and cause a gas leak. Do not allo w the regulator to tur n on the pipe when ti ghteni ng fitti ngs.
