5 Y our W eber Gas Barbecue is a por table outdoor cooking appliance. With the Weber Gas Barbecue y ou can grill, barbecue, roast and bak e with results that are difficult to duplicate with indoor kitchen appliances. The closed lid and Flav orizer Bars produce that "outdoor" fla v or in the f ood.
6 LIGHTING 1) Open the lid. Figure 1. 2) Make sure all b urner control knobs are OFF . (Push each burner control knob down and turn clockwise.) 3) T ur n on gas supply . W ARNING: Do not lean over open barbecue. Keep your face and bod y at least one f oot awa y fr om the matchlight hole when lighting the barbecue.

11 The Steam-N-Chips Smoker cooks with both Weber FireSpice W ood Chips and Chunks . F or best results with f aster cooking f oods like steaks , b urgers and chops, etc., we recommend using the FireSpice Chips because the y ignite and create smoke f aster .
12 Spider/Insect screens Y our Gas Barbecue, as well as an y outdoor gas appliance, is a target f or spiders and other insects . They can nest in the venturi section of the b urner tubes. This bloc ks the normal gas flow , and can cause the gas to flow back out of the air shutter .

16 MAINTENANCE Crosso ver Ignition System Operations If the Crossov er Ignition System f ails to ignite the Left burner , light the Left b urner with a match. If the Left burner lights with a match, then check the Crosso v er Ignition System. ■ Check that both the white and b lac k ignition wires are attached properly .
17 TROUBLESHOOTING Prob lem Burners b urn with a yello w or orange flame, in conjunction with the smell of gas. Burner does not light, or flame is low in HIGH position. Experiencing flare-ups: CA UTION: Do not line the bottom tray with aluminum f oil.
