2 Step 2 Remov e packaged par ts Remov e and unpackage w ar ming r ack, W eber W ar m-Up Basket, 2 cooking g rates, cardboard bo x (which contains cookbook and warranty card), 8 short stainless steel Flav orizer Bars and 5 long stainless steel Flav or izer Bars.
3 Step 3 Reinstallation of Stainless Steel Flav or iz er Bars, Cooking Gr ates and W ar ming Rac k Set the long stainless steel Flav orizer bars side to side in the lower position of the cooking bo x, then set the shor t stainless steel Fla vorizer bars , front to back in the upper position.
4 Step 5 Remov al of LP T ank Note - Y ou must remov e tank and it's packaging bef ore lifting grill out of lower carton. 1) Loosen tank lock wing n ut and tur n tank loc k up out of the wa y . Tighten wing nut. Figure 8 (a). 2) Lift tank straight up .
5 Step 7 Install Lid Remov e hinge pins and hair pin cotters from back of cooking bo x. Set the lid in place. Align the hinges at the rear of the barbecue. Inser t hinge pins from the outside . Inser t hair pin cotters into the small holes in the hinge pins.
Step 12 Check that items are secured Note - Although the f ollowing items were f actor y assembled, chec k that they ha ve not loosened during shipping and handling. Remov e the tape from the manif old brack et. Check that the br ack et is securely hooked onto the frame brace and under the manif old at the center bur ner valv e.
7 Check that the igniter is secure in the fr ame brace and has not shifted out of the ke y hole. Figure 15. If it is loose, slide the igniter into the rear of the k ey hole . Carefully tighten the igniter lock n ut with an adjustable wrench or pliers.
8 Step 13 Connect filled LP tank W ARNING: Make sure that the LP tank valve is closed. Close b y turning cloc kwise. Hook the LP tank onto the fuel scale. Loosen the tank lock wing n ut. Swing the tank lock down. Tighten the wing nut. Figure 18. F E Figure 18 T ank lock wing nut Remov e the tape from the hose and regulator .
9 Step 14 Check f or gas leaks W ARNING: Y ou should c heck for gas leaks e very time you disconnect and reconnect a gas fitting. Note - All f actor y made connections ha ve been thoroughly check ed f or gas leaks. The burners hav e been flame tested.
