I NTRODUCTION Your new scanner has been configured at th e factory with default settings. Since many host systems have unique formats and protoco l requirements, Metrologic provides a wide range of conf i gurable features that may be selected using this bar code based con figurati on tool.
B AR C ODE C ONFIGURATION M ET HODS Single-Code Method Most features can be enabled or disabled using the Si ngle-Code Method . 1. Power up the scanner. 2. Scan the bar code for the desired feature. Observe a multi-toned, “save setting” beep that indicates th e configuration has been saved to NOVRAM.
