8 FRONT PANEL CONT ROLS AND LEDS The front panel of the NVS unit contains th e devices that will be c ommonly used for data r emoval, retrieval, and backup replac eme nt.

11 IDENTIFYING INCLUDED COMPONENTS Surv eillix™ NVS sy stems c ome with a mouse, k eyboar d and selected s oftware and c ables. 12 KEYBOARD SETUP To attach the keyb oard to th e DVR u nit, pl ug the end of the Keyboard in to the k ey boar d PS/2 Port located o n the back of the m a chine. The keyboard PS/2 Port c an be identified by the purple c olor. Refer to the Rear Panel Connectors diagra m for more informati on.
13 MONITOR SETUP There are 2 availa ble connections f or monitors which can be used indiv idually or in tandem. SVGA Output To VGA Monitor. DVI-D Output To TV / Digital Monitor Attach the monitor or mo nitors to the rear of t he NVR using the cabl e supplied by the monitor manufact urer.
14 HARD DRIVE ARRAY NOTE: The Alarm Light will tur n on if the Har d Drives reach a tem perature above safe operating condi tions Swapping a Hard Drive 1. Press the hard dri ve power button to turn off p ower to the hard drive yo u wish to remove. 2. Turn the button lock to the open position an d push the handle release button.
