4 Before making y our fir st carafe of espresso, we suggest that y ou let the water bre w through the machine tw o times without coff ee, f ollo wing the instructions. This will thoroughly clean the unit. Making Espresso Coffee 1. Make sure the function knob is in the “OFF” position.
5 Making Cappuccino 1. Cappuccino is a mixture of espresso coff ee, milk and frothed milk. Fill a deep , narrow metal pitcher 1/2 full with fresh, cold milk and set ne xt to the espresso/cappuccino maker . 2. Place the frothing booster tip up ov er the end of the steam jet.
6 User Maintenance Instructions 1. Unplug the espresso/cappuccino maker from the electrical outlet and allow to cool completel y bef ore cleaning. 2. The coff ee filter basket and holder should be emptied and rinsed thoroughly with warm water after e v er y use.
7 8. Place steam jet into a tall glass or m ug. Mo v e function knob to position du r ing the flo wing process only f or a f ew seconds . This will clean any residue left in the tube from the milk steaming process. 9. Tu r n function knob back to “BREW , ” per mitting the hot vinegar to continue to flo w in the caraf e.
