ADSL2/2+ Router Chapter 1 Product Overview Note: This user guide applies to T enda wireless N ADSL2+ modem routers both W300D and W 150 D. W300D is used as an example throughout this user gui de for dem onstration and explanation.

ADSL2/2+ Router 3 system modes are supported on the device as belo w: Wireless ADSL Routing Mode: In this mode, device connects to Internet via a telephone cable. And PCs with wireless adapters can connect to the device wirelessl y . Wireless ADSL Bridging Mode: In this mode, the DSL port functions as an Internet port.
ADSL2/2+ Router This is the ADSL uplink virtual connection. Cons ult your ISP for PVC settings and enter them manually . The device supports 4 Internet connection types (The default is IPOE-Dynamic IP). ¾ PPPOE: Connect to Internet via PPPOE virtual dialup.
ADSL2/2+ Router over Ethernet. ¾ IPOA-Dynamic IP: Connect to Internet via a dynamic IP over A TM. ¾ IPOA- St atic IP: Connect to Internet via a fixed IP over A TM.

ADSL2/2+ Router 4.3.1 LAN M AC A ddress: Displays device’s LAN MAC address. It is unconfigu rable. IP A ddress: Device’s LAN IP . The default is 192.168. 1.1. Y ou can change it according to your need. Subnet Mask: Device’s LAN subnet mask.
ADSL2/2+ Router Internet connection T y pe: Displays current Internet connection type . User Name: Enter the User Name prov ided by your ISP . Passw ord: Enter the password provided by your ISP . Display Password: Display p assword as it is instead of in codes.
ADSL2/2+ Router IPoE → Dynamic IP If your ISP is using an IPoE connection and does not give you an y IP info, then select IPoE → Dy namic IP . The device will obtain an IP address from ISP automaticall y. MTU: Maximum Transmission Unit. T he default value is 1500.

IPoA → St a t i c I P If your ISP is using an IPoA connection and assigns a fixed IP address to you, then select IPoA → St atic IP , and enter the IP address, subnet mask, primary DNS and secon dar y DNS(optional) info provided by your ISP in corresponding fields.
ADSL2/2+ Router IP Address: Enter the W AN IP address provided by your ISP . Consult your ISP if you are not clear . Subnet Mask: Enter WAN Subnet Mask provided by your ISP . The default is 255.255.255.0. Gatew ay: Enter the W AN Gate way provided by your ISP .

ADSL2/2+ Router M A C Addre ss: Config device’s W AN MAC address. Y ou can either enter one manually or click the “ Clone MAC” button to copy your PC’ s M AC. Clone MAC : Clicking this button changes device’s W AN MAC address from default to the MAC address of the PC you ar e currently on.

ADSL2/2+ Router 4.3.4 ADSL Se ttings This section allo ws you to select an ADSL mode and an ANNEX type, as well as config VPI/VCI settings for both Internet connection and IPTV connection. Note: DO NOT change default settings on the screen above unless neccessary .
ADSL2/2+ Router 4.4.1. Basic Settings SSID : A SSID (Service Set Identifie r) is the unique name of a wireless network. Channel: For an optimal wireless performance, you may select the least interferential chann el.
ADSL2/2+ Router possible channel for your wireless net work to operate on from the drop-down list. There are 13 channels available. z Enable Wireless: Check/uncheck to activate/ deactivate wireless radio. If disabled, all wireless related features will be disabled automatically .

ADSL2/2+ Router S tep6: Click th e “Close” button and you have added the wireless network manually . Y ou can go to “Manage Wireless Net work” to check it.
ADSL2/2+ Router AuthenticationT ype: Select “Open” or “Shared” WEP Key Format: Select HEX or ASCII. Key Select: Select a valid key from keys 1- 4. Note that yo u must enter the key content in the corresponding format selected. WP A-PSK/WP A 2-PSK: There are 2 cipher types for WP A -PSK securi ty mode: AES and TKIP+AES.
ADSL2/2+ Router There are also 2 cipher types for WP A2-PSK security mode: AES and TKIP+AES. 4.4.3 MAC-based Wire less Access Control The MAC-based Wireless Access Control feature can be us ed to allo.
ADSL2/2+ Router or disallow clients at specific MAC addresses to connect to your wireless network. MAC Address Filter: Selecting “Disable” means to deactiva te the MAC address filter feature.
ADSL2/2+ Router 2. Select “ Allow Access to Wireless Network ” and enable the MAC address filter feature as seen belo w: 4.3.4 WDS WDS (Wireless Distribution System) f eature c an be used to extend your existing wireless net work coverage.
ADSL2/2+ Router WDS Mode: Select Wireless AP or bridge mode. Bridge Control: Select Disable or Enable. Scan: Enable the Brid ge Control feature and C lick the Scan button; SSIDs and BSSIDs of wireless devices on same channel will be displayed. For example: T o use the Scan button to display availabl e networks, do as follows: 1.

WDS feature can only b e im plemented bet ween 2 wireless devices that both s upport the WDS feature. 2. SSID, channel, secur ity se ttings and securit y key must be the same on both such devices.
ADSL2/2+ Router 4.5 Advanced Applications 4.5.1 System Mode 3 system modes are supported: Wire les s ADSL Routing, Wireless ADSL Brid ging and Wireless Routing. The default is Wireless ADSL Routing. Select Wireless ADSL Routing, if y ou want to connect to Internet via a telephone line and initiate a dialup on the device for Internet connection.
ADSL2/2+ Router Ethernet cable. In Wireless ADSL Routing Mode: The DSL Port functions as an Internet port, through which an ADSL CPE initiate s a dialup for an Internet connection that can be shared by multiple users. In Wireless ADSL Bri dging Mode: The DSL port functions as an Internet port.
ADSL2/2+ Router 4.5.2 IPTV The IPTV feature makes it possible to enjoy online videos o n your TV set via a set-top box while surfing Internet . Note : The IPTV feature is only availabl e in Wireless ADSL Routing mode and Wireless ADSL Brid ging mode.
ADSL2/2+ Router T o use the IPTV feature, do as follows: 1) If you want to connect your set-top box to the device usi ng an Ethernet cable, do as follows: a).
ADSL2/2+ Router e). T urn on your set-top box when the ADSL LED displays a solid light after reboot. f). When set-top box shows that it is succ essfully connected, you c an start enjoying IPTV . 2) If you want to connect your set-top box to the device wirelessly , do as follows: a).
ADSL2/2+ Router b) On IPTV interface, check the “E nabl e IPTV” box, select “Wireless” and specify an IPTV SSID (used by set-top box to connect to the device). c). Select WEP and enter a key . d). Save your settings and reboot the dev ice. e).

On your set-top box manag ement interface, select “Wireless”, enter the IPTV SSID and security ke y to conn ect to the device. 4.5.3 Bandwid th Control T o better manage ba ndwidth allocation and optimize net work performance, use the band width control feature.
ADSL2/2+ Router 4.5.4 Connection List This section displ ays info of clients that connect to your devi ce. IP A ddress : Displays the IP address of a connected client.
ADSL2/2+ Router However , a nu meric address is inconvenient to remember; an ad dress which changes unpredictably makes connection impossible. The DDNS provider allocates a static hostname to the user.
ADSL2/2+ Router For example: If you have registered a DDNS service in dyndns.org and are assigned tenda, 123456, tenda. dyndns.info respectivel y as username, password and domain name for a web server on your PC at 192.168.1.10, then configure port fo rwarding settings under virtua l server menu and enter this info on the DDNS i nterface.
ADSL2/2+ Router on your LAN. It is useful for hosti ng onli ne services such as FT P, Web, or game servers. For each Virtual Server, you define a WA N port on your router for redirection to an internal LAN IP Address and LAN port. External Port- Internal Port: Enter the service ports.

ADSL2/2+ Router ¾ Enable UPnP: Check/uncheck to enable/disable the UPnP feature. Note: UPnP works in Windows XP , Windows ME or later (NOTE: Operational system needs to be integrated with or installed with Directx 9.0) or in an environment with installed applicati on software that supports UPnP .
ADSL2/2+ Router 4.6.1 MAC A d dress Filter T o better manage P Cs in LAN, you can use the MAC Address Filter function to allow/disallow such PCs to access to Internet. Filter Mode: Select Deny or Allow according to your own needs. Deny Access T o Internet : Disallow only PCs at specified MAC addresses to access Internet.
ADSL2/2+ Router Day: s elect a day or several da ys for the corresponding e ntry to take ef fect. Enable: Check/uncheck to enable/disable the corres ponding entry .
ADSL2/2+ Router 4.6.2 Client Filter T o better manage PCs i n LAN, you can allo w or disallow such PCs to access certain ports on Internet us ing the Client Filter functionality .
ADSL2/2+ Router Filter Mode: Select Deny or Allow according to your own needs. Select : Select a number (indicating a filt er rule) from the drop-down menu. Description : E nter a meaningful name to yourself for a ne w filter rule. St art /End IP Address: Enter a starting/ending IP address.
ADSL2/2+ Router Example 2: T o allow only the PC at an IP address of 192.168. 1.145 to access Internet from 8:00 to 18 : 00, do as follows: - 79 -.
ADSL2/2+ Router 4 .6.3 URL Filter T o better control LAN PCs, you can use the URL filter functionality to allow or disallow such PC to access certain website s within a sp ecifie d time r ange. Filter Mode: Select Deny or Allow according to your own needs.

ADSL2/2+ Router 4.7.2 Time This section assists you in setting the device’s system time; you can either select to set the time and da te manually or au tomatically obtain the GMT time from Internet. By def ault, “Syn c with Internet time servers” is enabled as seen belo w .
ADSL2/2+ Router 4.7.3 Change Passwo rd/User Name This section allo ws you to change login password/user na me for accessing device web manager . Both login password and user name are preset to “admin” by default. T o change either , do as follows: 1.

ADSL2/2+ Router 4.7.4 Backup This section allo ws you to backup current settings. Once you have configured the device the way you want it, you can save these settings to a configuration file on your local hard drive that can later be importe d to your device in case that the de vice is r estored to factory default settings.

ADSL2/2+ Router T o restore previous settings, do as follo ws: 1. Click the "Browse" button to locat e and select a configur ation file that is saved previously to your loc al hard drive. 2. Click “Restore” to import previous settings and the device will reboot.

ADSL2/2+ Router 4.7.7 Restore to Factory Default Settings T o restore all settings to the devic e's factory default values, click the " Default” button on the interface be low and then the “OK” button on appearing dialo gue box. Restoring factor y defaults requires system reboot.

T roubl eshooting T rouble Descripti on T roubleshooting Power LED does not light up ● Check whether power adapter is connecte d properly . ● Check whether the po wer adapter is the one included with the device. (Use of a power adapter with different rating than the included one may damage the device.
ADSL2/2+ Router Can’t access the Internet ● Make sure you are not confronting the above troubles. ● Make sure dial-up utility is i nstalled and correctly configured. ● Make sure the user name and password entered are correct. ● If the dial-up is successful, make sure the IE proxy server is configured properl y .
