3 Safety auto shut off Y our Sunbeam Compact Oscillating Ceramic heater is equipped with a safety system that detects any abnormally high temperatures within the heater and automatically shuts it off to prevent overheating. If the heater is getting excessively hot, an alarm will sound.
Mode button Press the mode button to select the desired operating mode: LOW HEA T , HIGH HEA T AUTO, F AN or ST ANDBY Fan setting Ideal for circulating cool air in summer , the fan setting operates the fan without heat. Power ON light Illuminates to indicate that the heater is connected to the power outlet.
5 Oscillation function The heater oscillates 90 degrees to provide greater heat distribution. Simply press the oscillation button (OSC) to activate this function.
6 1. Place the heater on a flat level surface and ensure that the air intake and outlet are clear of obstructions. 2. Insert the plug into a 230/240V power outlet and turn the power on. 3.The power on light and LCD screen will illuminate. NOTE: When the heater is switched on it will be automatically set to the Standby mode.
7 U s i n g t h e O s c i l l a t i o n F u n c t i o n The 90 degree oscillation function can be used in any mode except standby . 1. Press the oscillation button (OSC), positioned on the top of the heater . The heater will then begin to oscillate from side to side.
8 If your heater fails to operate check the following: • Make sure the electrical outlet or circuit breaker is working. • Check for obstructions. If you find an obstruction, turn the heater off and follow the reset instructions on page 7. • Check that the thermostat is not set too low .
