8 Using the control panel Power Press the‘POWER’ button once to turnthe espresso machineon. The light on thebutton will startflashing; this is to indicatethat your espresso machineis on and is heatingup.

16 CLEANING PIN Remove thedrip tray . Remove driptray grill. Remove both the water reservoir anddrip tray to get to the'cleaning pin'. Insert thinnerend of cleaning pininto the single hole inthe base of the filter .
Programming your espresso machine The EspressoVita has programming capabilities. Basedon café settings the ‘SINGLE’ and‘DOUBLE’ espresso functions are setat 30 and 60mls.
18 Important: Althoughthe espresso machine is on atthe power outlet ensure thatthe actual espresso machinepower is ‘OFF’. Therefore no lightswill be illuminated on theespresso machine controlpanel.
19 Preparing your espresso machine before use 1. Place theespresso machine onto a dry , stable benchtop. 2. Ensure thedrip tray and grill arein place. 3. Fill theespresso machine with water .
Preheat Glasses 1. Preheat theglasses/cups by filling them with hotwater as this willassist to preserve the cremaof the espresso. Set theglasses/ cups aside. Caution: Thehot water will be closeto boiling temperature.

Milk texturingis the steaming of milk.The steam doestwo things, heats the milkand also thesteam mixes air with themilk to form an‘emulsion’ of tiny bubbles thatgives a silkyvelvet texture.

Cup warming plate and exterior Wipeover the unit witha damp cloth and wipe dry .Do not useabrasives or metal scourers as these willscratch the exterior surface.
Scale isa surface build up ofminerals that naturally occurover time in all appliances that areinvolved with the heating ofwater . Therefore theespresso machine will require occasional descaling.
10. Leave the machineoff for 10-15 minutes to allowthe descaling solution to take affect. 11. Press the ‘POWER’button once to turn the espressomachine on.
