16 Lease T ime For ever. I n th e Lea se Time settin g yo u ca n s pecify th e t ime period that the DHC P l e nds a n IP address to yo ur LAN clients. The DH CP will change your LAN c lient’s IP ad dress when t his time thre shold period is reached.
17 Internet Status This pa ge di s plays whether th e WAN p ort is c onnected to a Cable/DSL connection. It also dis plays t he rout er’s WAN IP address, S ubnet Ma sk, a nd ISP Gateway as we ll as M AC a ddress, th e P rimary DN S. Press Ren ew b utton to renew your WAN IP addr ess.
18 DHCP Status DHCP T his page s hows all DHC P clients (LAN PC s) currently c onnecte d to your network. The table shows t he assigned IP address, MAC address and expiration time f or each DHCP leased client. Use the Refresh button to u pdate the available information.

23 11 Wireless Set tin gs You can set par ameters that are use d f or the w ireless stat ions to co nnect to this ro uter for th e 2.4 Ghz radio or 5 Gh z radio. The paramet ers include Mo de, ESSID, C hannel Numb er and Asso ciated Client. Wireless Fun ction Enable or D isable Wirele ss function h ere.
24 Basic Settings Mode Allows you to set the AP to AP, S tation, Bridg e or WDS mod e. Band Allows you t o set the AP fixed at 802 .11b or 802.1 1g m ode. You can also select B+G mode t o allow 802 11b and 802 .11g clients at th e same time. ESSID This is the nam e of the wireless s ignal which is broad casted.
25 A d vanced Settings This tab allow s you to s et the a dvanced wireles s options. The options included are Authenticat ion Type, Fragme nt Threshold, RTS T hreshold, B eacon Interval, a nd Prea mble T ype. Yo u shou ld not cha nge these parameter s unless you know w hat effect the c hanges wil l have on t he router.

27 Security This Access P oint provid es c omplete w ireless LA N security funct ions, included are WEP, IEE E 802.1 1x, IEEE 802. 11x with W EP, WPA wit h pre-shar ed key and WPA w ith RADIUS. With these sec urity function s, you can prev ent your wireless LAN from illega l a ccess.
28 WEP When you se lect 6 4-bit or 128-bit WEP key, you ha ve to ent er WE P keys to encrypt data. Yo u can generate the key by y ourself an d e nter it. You can enter four W EP keys a nd s elect o ne of th em a s a defa ul t key. Then t he r outer can rece ive any packets encrypted by one of the fo ur keys.
29 WP A P re-shared Key Wi-Fi Protected Acc ess ( WPA) is an advance d s ecurity sta ndard. You c an use a pre- shared key to authent icate w ireless stat ions an d e ncrypt data during communicat ion. It u ses TKIP or CCMP (AES) to c hange the e ncryption key frequently.

35 Denial of Service (DoS) The Broadba nd router's firewall can block common ha cker attacks, including Denial of Service, Ping of Death, Port Scan a nd Sync Flood.
