12 8 Bring up WL-322 Connect th e sup plied p ower-adapter to the po wer inlet p ort a nd conn ect it to a wal l out let. TheW L-322 automatical ly ent ers the self-test phase. During self-test phase, the Power LED will b link briefly, and th en will be lit continuous ly to indicate that this product is in normal op eration.

14 LAN settings The LAN t ab gives y ou the op portunity to change the IP s ettings of t he WL- 322. Click <App ly> at the bottom of th is screen to sa ve any changes. IP address 192.168.0.1. It is the r outer’s LA N IP ad dress (Y our LAN cl ients default gateway IP a ddress).
15 Lease T ime For ever. In the Lea se T ime sett ing y ou can specify the tim e period that the DH CP lends a n IP address to yo ur LAN clients. The DH CP wil l c hange your LAN c lient’s IP a ddress wh en this t ime thresh old period is reached.
16 Device Status View th e B roadba nd m odem/ro uter’s current configurat ion s ettings. Device Status displays the conf iguration setting s you’ve configured in the Wizard / Basic Settin gs / Wireles s Settings secti on.
17 Internet Status This page disp lays whether th e A DSL port is connected to a ADS L service provider. It also disp lays the router’ s WAN IP address, Subnet Mask, and ISP Gateway as w ell as MA C address, th e P rimary DNS. P ress R enew button to renew your WAN IP ad dress.
18 ADSL Status This pag e shows t he curr ent oper ation mode, st atus of your A DSL connect ion, the data rate and the qua lity of your ADS L link. Operatio n mode allows manual selection o f the ADSL mode.
19 DHCP Client St atus DHCP This pa ge shows all DHC P clients (LAN PCs) current ly connecte d to your network. T he ta ble s hows t he ass igned I P ad dress, MAC a ddress a nd ex piration time for ea ch DHCP leas ed client. Use the Refre sh button to update t he availabl e informati on.

21 10 Configuration Wizard Click Wi zard to config ure the modem. The Set up wizard wi ll now b e display ed; check that t he adsl line is connect ed and click N ext. Select your country from the Country list. Sele ct your intern et prov ider. Click Next.
22 Depending on the ch osen prov ider, yo u may need to e nter your u ser name and passwor d or hostn ame in the following window. A fter y ou have entered the correct informat ion, click Next .
23 11 Wireless Settings You can set paramet ers tha t are used for th e w ireless sta tion s t o co nnect to this router. Th e parameters include Mode, ESSID, C hannel Num ber and Associated C lient. Wireless Fun ction Enable or D isable Wirele ss function here.
24 Basic Settings Band All ows you to set the AP fi xed at 8 02.1 1b or 802.11g m ode. You can also select B+ G+n mod e to allow 802 11b , 802.11g a nd 802.11n clients at the same t ime. ESSID This is the name of t he wireless signal which is broad casted.
25 Advanced Settin gs This tab allow s yo u to set t he adva nced wireles s options. The options included are Authenticat ion Type, Fragme nt Threshold , RTS Threshold, B eacon Interval, and Preamble Type. Y ou sh ould not cha nge these param eters unless you know w hat effect th e changes wi ll have o n the router.
26 Preambl e Type The “Long Preamble” can provide better wi rele ss L AN compatib ility whi le the “Short P reamb le” can provide better w ireless L AN performanc e.
27 Security This Acc ess Poi nt provid es com plete wirele ss LA N security f unctions, included are W EP, IEE E 802.1 1x, I EEE 802. 11x with WEP, WPA with pre-s hare d k ey and WPA with RADIUS . With these sec urity functions, you can prevent your wireless LAN fr om illega l access.
28 WEP When you select 64-b it or 128-bit WEP key, you have to enter W EP keys t o encrypt data. You can generate t he key by your self and enter it. You can enter four WEP k eys a nd se lect o ne of th em as a default k ey. Then the router can rece ive any pack ets encrypte d by one of th e four keys.
29 Click <Ap ply> at the bot tom of t he scr een to save t he above configur ations. You can now con figure ot her sect ions b y choos ing Continue, or c hoose App ly to apply the settings an d reboot the device. WPA Pre-shared Key Wi-Fi Protecte d Access (WPA) is an advanc ed sec urity sta ndard .
30 WPA-Radius Wi-Fi Protected Acce ss ( WPA ) is a n advanc ed security standar d. You can use an externa l R ADIUS s erver to authenticat e wir eless stations a nd provid e the session key to encry pt data during comm unication. It uses TKIP or CCMP ( AES ) to chang e t he encryption ke y fr equently.
31 ACL This w ireless router supports M AC Address C ontrol, which prevents unauthorize d clients fro m accessing your wire less network. Enabl e wireless acces s con trol Enables the w ireless acce s.
32 WPS Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) is t he simplest way to e stablish a connection between the wirel ess clients and the wireles s router. You do n’t have to se lect the encrypti on mode a nd fill in a long e ncryption pa ssphrase every time w hen you try t o s etu p a wire less connect ion.
33 WPS Cu rrent S tatus If th e wirel ess security (encry ption) funct ion of t his wireless rout er is pr operly set, yo u’ll see a ‘Conf igured’ message here. Otherwise, yo u’ll see ‘U nConfigure d’. Self Pin Cod e This is the WPS PIN cod e of the wire less r outer.
34 12 Firewall Settings The Broadba nd router provides extensive firewal l protection by restr icting connection parameters, thus limi tin g the risk of hacker atta cks, a nd defending against a wide array of comm on Int ernet att acks.
35 DMZ If you have a cl ient PC t hat cannot r un a n I nternet application ( e.g. Gam es) properly from behind the NAT firewall, then you can open u p the firewall restrictions to u nrestrict ed two-wa y I ntern et a ccess by defin ing a DM Z Host.
36 Denial of Servi ce (DoS) The B roadba nd rout er's firewall can b lock c ommon hacker attacks, inclu ding Denial of Service, P ing of D eath, Por t S can and Sync Flo od.
37 Access You can r estrict users from accessing certa in Intern et applicatio ns/services (e.g. Inter net we bsites, email, FTP etc.), Access Control a llows users t o def ine the tra ffic type p ermitt ed in y our LAN. Yo u can control whic h PC c lient can have access to these ser vices.
38 Filter cl ient PC b y MAC C heck “ Enab le MAC Filtering” to enab le MAC Filtering. Add PC Fill in “Client P C MA C Address” and “Comment” of t he PC that is allowed to acce ss the Inter net, and then cl ick “Add”.

46 QoS QoS can let yo u class ify Intern et applicat ion tr affic by s ource/dest ination IP address a nd port num ber. You can assign pr iority for each t ype of a pplicati on and reserve bandwi dth for it. The packets of app lications with higher prior ity will a lways go f irst.
47 Edit a QoS rule Select the rule you want to edit and c lick “Ed it”, th en enter the deta il form o f th e Q oS rule. C lick “ Ap ply ” after edit ing the form and the rule will be saved. Adjust QoS rule priority You can s elect the r ule and c lick “Move Up” to m ake its priority higher.

Co mmunity A computer attached to t he netwo rk, called a Networ k Management Station (NMS) , can be u sed to acc ess this infor mation.

53 Remote Managemen t The rem ote management function allows y ou to designate a host in t he Internet t he ability to configure t he Broa dband router from a remote site.
54 Firmware Upgrade This page al lows you to u pgrade the router’s firm ware. Firmware Up grade This tool al lows y ou t o upgrade th e Broa dband router’s system firmwa re.
55 Backup Settings The Back up scree n al lows yo u to sa ve (B ackup) th e router’s current configurat ion settings. Whe n you sav e the conf iguration setti ng ( Back up) you can r e-load the sav ed conf iguration into t he router through the Restore selection.
