AXIS Q60 35 PTZ Dome Netw ork Camer a H a rd w a re O v e r v i ew SD card slot - A standard or high-capacity SD card (not included) can be used for local recording with removable storage. NOTICE To prevent corruption of recordings, the SD card should be unmounted before removal.

AXIS Q60 35 PTZ Dome Netw ork Camer a A ccessing the P r oduct Access from the Internet Once connected, the Axis product is accessible on your local net work (LAN). To access the product from the Internet you must con fi gure your network router to allow incoming data traf fi c to the product.

The Live View Page The controls and layout of the Live View page may have been customized to meet speci fi c installation requirements and user preferences.
AXIS Q60 35 PTZ Dome Netw ork Camer a A ccessing the P r oduct The Snapshot button takes a snapshot of the video image. The location where the image is saved can be speci fi ed in the AMC Control Panel. Click the View Full Screen button and the video image will fi ll the entire screen.
AXIS Q60 35 PTZ Dome Netw ork Camer a A ccessing the P r oduct Pan and Tilt bars – Use the arrows to pan and tilt the camera view, or click on a position on the bar to steer the camera view to that position. Zoom bar – Use the arrows to zoom in and out, or click on a position on the bar to zoom to that position.
AXIS Q60 35 PTZ Dome Netw ork Camer a Media Str eams Media Streams The Axis product provides several audio and video stream form ats. Your requirements and the properties of your network will determine the type you use. The Live View page in the product provides access to H.

AXIS Q60 35 PTZ Dome Netw ork Camer a Media Str eams Note • <ip>= IP addess • The Axis product supports QuickTime 6.5.1 and later. • QuickTime adds latency to the video stream. • It may be possible to use other players to view the H.264 stream using the paths a bove, although Axis do es not guarantee this.
AXIS Q60 35 PTZ Dome Netw ork Camer a Settin g Up the P r oduct Setting Up the Product The Axis product can be con fi gured by users w ith administrator or operator r ights. To open the product’s Setup pages, click Setup in the top right-hand corner of the Live View page.
AXIS Q60 35 PTZ Dome Netw ork Camer a Video and A udio Video and Audio The video and audio settings ca n be used to optimize video a nd audio quality. You can con fi gure the following: • Vide o stream settings. See page 16 . •S t r e a m p r o fi les.
AXIS Q60 35 PTZ Dome Netw ork Camer a Video and A udio Image The default image setting s can be con fi gured under Video & Audio > Video Stream .S e l e c t t h e Image tab. The following settings are available : • Resolution . Select the default resolution.
AXIS Q60 35 PTZ Dome Netw ork Camer a Video and A udio Camera Settings The Video & Audio > Camera Settings page provides access to advanced image settings for the Axis product. Capture Mode Capture mode de fi nes the maximum resolution and maximum frame rate ava ilable in the Axis prod uct.
AXIS Q60 35 PTZ Dome Netw ork Camer a Video and A udio Wide Dynamic Ra nge Wide dynamic range can imp rove the exposure when there is a considerabl e con trast between light and dark ar eas in the image. Enable WDR in intense backlight conditions. The different WDR se ttings adjust for various amounts of contrast in the image.
AXIS Q60 35 PTZ Dome Netw ork Camer a Video and A udio 2. To include an overlay image, select Include overlay image at the coordinates . The overlay image must fi rst be uploaded to the Axis product, see Overlay Image . 3. To include date and time, select Include date and Incl ude tim e .
AXIS Q60 35 PTZ Dome Netw ork Camer a Video and A udio Audio Settings The audio functionality for each video stream is enabled under Video & Audio > Video Stream > Audio . Note A multi-connector cable (available from Axis; Multi-Connector Cable (sold separately) ) is required when connecting external audio equipment to the Axis product.
AXIS Q60 35 PTZ Dome Netw ork Camer a Video and A udio • G726 Sample rate - The number of times per second the sound is sampled. A hig her sample rate w ill provide better audio quality, but also requires a g reater bandwidth. Bit rate - Set the required bit rate depending on the selected encoding.

Tour Recording The guard tour function in this product includes tour recording, which allows recording o f a custom tour using an input device such as a joystick, mouse, keyboard or through the VAP IX® Application Programming Interface (API).

AXIS Q60 35 PTZ Dome Netw ork Camer a Ev e n t s Events The Axis product can be con fi gured to perfo rm actions when diffe rent events occur, for e xample, start a record ing when motion i s detected. The set of conditions that de fi nes how and when the action is triggered is called an Action Rule .
AXIS Q60 35 PTZ Dome Netw ork Camer a Ev e n t s Available actions include: • Output Port — activate an I/O port to control an external device. • Play Audio Clip —s e e Audio Clips, on page 22 . • PTZ Control - Autotracking — start autotracking, see Autotracking, on page 26 .

AXIS Q60 35 PTZ Dome Netw ork Camer a System Options System Options Security Users User access control is enabled by default and can be con fi gured under System Options > Security > Users . An administrator can set up other users by givi ng them user names and passw ords.

With this option, date and time are set once and will not be updated automatically.
