Response Time-Out The Response Time-Out tells the DTU how long to wait after transmitting a request to th e PLC if no response has been receiv ed from the PLC.

Then select Ok or press the Esc key to close the co nfigura- tion s creen .

In this screen , you will ent er the device t ype and addr ess for each Siemens device conn ected to port 2.

Refe r to Appe ndix A for valid register numbers for yo ur PLC applicatio n. The DTU3005 Editor so ftware supplies the last r egister number after you enter the first.

The DTU3005 will then only allo - cate r egisters for tho se containing device data.

This is the delay between times that the DTU30 05 reads the data from the PLC’s command reg isters. This control s the frequency tha t the registers ar e read to allow for cr itical PLC scan times.
