Chapter 1 Introduction The E N W - 9607 is a 64 - bi t 10 / 100/1000Base- T PCI 2.2 Gigabit E t hernet adap t er designed to addr e ss high-perfo r mance sys t em application requiremen t s . The E N W - 9607 M provides a SF P , mini-GBI C inter f ace.

3 Chapter 2 Hardware I nstallation 2.1 LED definit i ons The faceplate of E N W - 9607 has fou r LEDs: 100 , 1000 FD X and AC T . And E N W - 9607 M has three LE D s : 1000 , FD X and AC T . The pic t ures belo w have sho w ed t he f aceplate o f E N W - 9607 and E N W - 9607 M .

6 Chapter 3 Driver Installation A device d r iver mus t be ins t alled before your E N W - 9607/9607 M can be used w ith your compu t e r . This chapter desc r ibes ho w to ins t all the driver for various operating systems.
7 5. Select “ S pecify a location ” and click “ Ne xt ” . 6. Y ou can click “ Bro w se ” to specify the driver loca t ion. ( A ssume " E " is your CD-RO M drive, the driver can be found in E:DriversE N W - 9607 M W in2000). P lease click “ OK ” to con t inue.

10 3.3 Installing D river To Wind o ws NT 1. Ins t all E N W - 9607 M into your PC ’ s PCI slot. 2. Po w er on the PC and insert D r iver Disk in t o CD-RO M drive . 3. Click S T A RT -> SETTINGS -> CONTRO L P ANE L -> N E T W O RK. 4. Select ADAPTERS.

12 Chapter 4 Utility E N W -9607 is VCT Technolog y supported. The Vir t ual Cable Tester(T M ) installation package contains the M arvell Virtual Cable Tes t er(T M ) application. This utility can help user to diagnose t he cable status and verify the cable length.
