This Quick Start guide will show y ou how to install and pro perl y use the m odem i n order t o take full adva nt age of its features.
2 Card Layout 3 Installing the Modem This intern al modem is easy to install. please follow the instructions below. To install the modem: 1. Turn of f the s ystem a nd un plug yo ur system from the power s uppl y. 2. Rem ove the system c ove r. Re fer to y our ho using ma nual for instruction s.
4. Check yo ur modem ca rd model . 5. Plu g the telephone cable into the LIN E jack located at the front of the brack et. Plug the other end of the telephone cable into a telephone lin e jack. 6. To connect a telephone to the modem: a. Plug the telephone to th e modem PHONE jack.
3. In th e new dial og box, you have two choices to install a driver. The default cho ice is search for the best driver for your device and cl ic k Avan ti .
4. New Add New Hardwar e Wiza rd dialog box will display on the screen. Insert the Driver CD into the CD-ROM driver. 5. Choo se Specify a lo cation to browse f or driver folder, and click Browse, choose th e CD-ROM locatio n (Ex: D:Driverwi n9X).
6. Windows 98 will cop y the files onto your hard disk. Click Fine ..
5 Setting Up Your Modem for Window s ME 1. Turn on your comp uter. As the Windows ME operating system boots up, it displays Add New Hardware Wizard dialog box sh own on your scre en for a few seconds with the identifier name (PCI Comm unication Device) of your modem.
4. Wind ows ME will copy the f iles onto your hard disk, cl ick Fine..
5. It displays Add Ne w Ha rdwa re Wizard dialog box shown on your screen for a few second s with the identifier name (Modem Device) of yo ur modem. 6. Choo se Specify the lo cation of the driv er. Click Avanti . 7. Add New Hardwar e Wizard dialog box will display on screen.

6 Setting Up Your Modem for Window s 2000 1. Turn on your computer. As the Windows 2000 operating system boots up, it displays a Found Ne w Hardware Wizard dialog box shown on your screen. 2. Click Avanti , then a new d ialog box will show on the screen.

5. Insert the driver C D in t o the CD-ROM device. Click Browser a nd cho ose th e CD-RO M Locat ion (Ex: DDriverWin2000) .Windows 2000 will cop y the files onto your hard d isk.
