8 Connections Connecting to Onkyo Separate Collection series components This section introduces you to the other Separate Collection Series system components and their con- venient system functions, followed by instruction on how to connect the system.
9 Before Using Connections Other Information Operations Using the remote contr oller The unit is not shipped with a remote contr oller . However , you can use a remote controller (RC- 456S) that is shipped with the A-905TX/R-805TX amplifier .
10 Connecting to the other components Before connecting • Do not connect the unit’ s AC power cord to a wall outlet until you have completed all the other connections. • On each pair of connectors, a red connector (marked R) cor responds to the right channel, and a white connector (marked L) to the left channel.
11 Before Using Connections Other Information Operations 1 Connection with the Amplifier Connect the ANALOG OUTPUT connectors on the rear panel of C-705TX and the amplifier ’ s CD input connectors using the audio connection cable. Refer to the amplifier’ s instruction manual for connections.

13 Before Using Connections Other Information Operations Playing CDs Operations Normal play • When you are using the C-705TX with the A- 905TX/R-805TX Onkyo Separate Collection se- ries component, turn the A-905TX’ s/R-805TX’ s POWER switch ON. 1 Press ST ANDBY/ON button to tur n on the unit.

16 Playing the first track only (TR-1 Play) In this mode, the unit plays only the first track of the disc then stops. The TR-1 Play mode is useful for playing disc singles. Y ou cannot use the re- mote controller for this operation. 1 Press the TR-1 button.
17 Before Using Connections Other Information Operations Memory play • Up to 25 tracks can be stored in memory . 1 Press the MEMOR Y button to enter Memory play mode.
18 T o quit Memory play Press the MEMOR Y or (OPEN/CLOSE) button. The MEMORY indicator disappears to indicate that you are in Normal play mode. The contents of the memory are completely cleared.
