3 Bogen paging examp le using FXS Pass Thr ough feature. The example below shows a Bogen PCM/ZPM Zone Paging unit at the Corporate site connected through MultiVOIP s to ampli fiers and speak ers at each o f two branch sites. Users at the co rporate site can page users at the Branch A an d/or Bran ch B sites .
4 1. Preliminary planning: Determine the number of M ultiVOIP gateways to be used for the paging network. Assign a unique IP add r ess and identifying number to each MultiVOIP.

6 3. In the C onfiguration/Interface screen, Select each voice channel used for pag ing from the Select Chann el drop-dow n lis t and confi gure th at channel s o FXS Loop S tart and Pass Throug h are enabled.
7 4. Go to th e Phone Book / Ph one Book Modi fy / Out bound Phon e Book / List Entrie s screen..
8 5. Click th e Add but ton to add a ph one book en try. In the Destination Pa t t ern field, enter the identifying number for one of the remote MultiVOIP u nits. E nter the IP address of the remote MultiVOIP unit i n the IP Address field. Leave the other f ields set at their defaults.
9 6. Clic k Ok when finished with this entry. Click the Add button as needed to create enties for oth er remote MultiVOIP units. In our example, the Co r p orate MultiVOIP would have two entries like .
10 7. In the conf iguration / Voice/Fax screen, select one of the channels to be u sed for paging an d click the Auto Call Enable chec kbox to enable the auto call feature. In the Phone Number field, enter x:y w he re x equals the remote MultiVOIP identifying number and y equals the re mote MultiV OI P Voice Channel number.

Assuming a Bogen PCMZPM is located at Corporate, connect a RJ11 ph one cord t o channel 1 FXS/FXO jack on the Corporate Mu ltiVOIP. Connect the tw o wires on the other end of the phone cord to th e Zone A + and – leads on th e PCMZPM.
