Introductions The USB 10M H omePNA Ne twork Adapt er is fully compatible with the Universal Serial Bus (USB) functionality b uilt in Windows 98/ME, Windows 2000 and Windows XP. It provides you the instant connectivity to multiple PCs over a home's exis ting telephone lines.
System Requirements A Pentium processor- based persona l computer 166MM X or above. At least 16 MB of R AM. One USB port well installed an d enabled. Microsoft Wind ows 98, Windows ME , Windows 2000, or Windows XP. Specifications Netw ork Standard HomePNA specificat ion 2.

Hardware Installation Before getting started Before installation, make sure the USB port on your computer is enabled. To learn how to check this, see the Diagnostics secti on. Getting Hooked Up 1. Locate the US B host port of your system . Align the USB connect or toward the USB host port, push evenly and stead ily until it is seated.

Software Installation Windows 98 Installation 1. Once the USB 10M Home PNA Network Adapter is well connected, Windows will detect the new device a nd prom pt you to insert the network device driver. Click Next. 2. Insert the USB 10M HomePNA Network Adapter Driver Disk into the flop py disk drive.
3. Specify Floppy disk drivers and click Next. Windows will start searching for the appropriate driver for the network devi ce installation. 4. Ensure that the file path is correct. Click Next to continue. 5. Windows will copy the appropriate dr iver to your system.
6. Clic k Finish to complete the software installation. Window Me Installation 1. Once the USB Home PhoneLine 1Mbps Network Adap ter is well connected to your computer, Windo ws ME will automatically detect the new device. Select Specify the Location of the driver… and click Next .
Removable M edia (Floppy , CD-ROM…) and click Next . 3. Clic k Next t o continue. 4. Windows will copy the appro priate driver to your system. If Windows ME asks you to supply your original Wi ndows ME installation CD-ROM, load it on the CD- ROM drive.
Windows 2000 Installation 1. Once the USB 10M Home PNA Network Adapter is well connected, Windows will detect the new device a nd prom pt you to insert the network device driver. Click Next. 2. Insert the USB 10M HomePNA Network Adapter Driver Disk into the flop py disk drive of your sy stem.
