7 Mountings For Natural Ga s Mo dels ( Note: Ta n k H old er Rin g is not includ ed with n atur al gas mod els.) If the gril l is to use natural gas from the s upplied 12- foot hose: the hose must pass through the hose clamp (See Fig.
8 Mountings Step 1: Pat io Ba se Mount ing Assembly (Fig. 5) 1. Turn base on edge and insert the 2’ post. Align the notches in the post with the notc hes in the bas e. IM- PORTANT: Close tolerances may require you to tap the top of the post to seat it completely in the base socket which wi ll then al ign the bolt slots.
9 Mountings In -Ground Moun ti ng Assembly Ins tructions (MPP) • Either the JNR or WNK mo del grills may be mount ed on the In -Ground Mount ing base. • The gas supply may be either LP or Natural. • To protec t a gains t corr osi on, y ou mus t apply a suitable coat ing on the post to retard th e effects of corrosion existing in local areas.

11 Mountings OPTION : For OPTIMU M Cart Only: (Fig. 12) 1. Attac h the wheels by sl ipping the ax le through the base, slide the wheels on and sec ure with the axle clips. Finish by s napping the hub caps on before standing uni t upright. Step 3: Connect the Gri ll Head B ottom (Fig.
12 Mountings Built-in Kit M ou nting Assembly Ins truct ions (NMS) • The JN R, WN K or TJ K mo del grills may be mounte d as a built-in. • For use with nat ura l or hard– pl u m bed pro pane gas. • Use of the Built- in kit for LPG poses a safety risk and voids any and all w arranty.
13 Mountings Step 2: Bui lt- In Moun ti ng Assembl y IMPORTAN T: Since the mounting is attac hed directly to the gr ill, you must first partial ly assemble your grill by attaching the control panel to the grill head (refer to the appropr iate gril l section for assembly instructions ).

16 JNR & WN K Assemb ly Instructions C. Ignitor Wire Connection (Fig. 21) 1. T ip the gri ll on i ts back (or ups ide down) and attac h the contr ol panel ign itor wir e to the term inal st ick- ing out fr om the bottom of the gr ill. Be careful not to crack the d elicate porcelain insu lator.
17 Natural gas hose for Optimum cart mount : The natural gas cart uses a 12 foot hose with a quick disconnect (supplied) . The hose passes beneath the heat shield thr ough the front access opening and connects direc tly to the control v alve. The quick disconnect end attac hes to the gas supply line at the shut- off valve.

Step 5: Connect t he Handl e (Fig. 31) 1. Attach the hand le to the gr ill li d using two ¼ - 20 x 1 ½" Hex bolts with Kep nu ts.

21 Gas & LP T ank Connecti ons GAS & LP CYLI NDER Check Local Codes Consult your local LP dealer or Natural G as Compan y for re commended installat ion procedures and regula- tions. In the absence of local codes, instal lation must conform to the National Fuel Gas Code, ANSI Z223.
22 Gas& LP T ank Connections CONN EC TING THE LP CY LINDE R (Fig. 4 0) 1. Sl ip the LP cy linder into the gri ll LP Tank Mounting. Position the LP cylinder so that the tank valve r e- ceives the r egulator wi thout kinking or creating sharp bends in the hose.

24 Maintenance Annual Main tenance After a per iod of nonus e or to keep your gr ill in top operating c ondition, you s hould perform the following maintenance procedures to k eep the gril l ready for instant use and for your safety . • Do not obstruct the flow of combust ion and ventila- tion air .

WITH GAS OFF, position a m irror in front of the col lector box and rotate the ignitor k nob several t imes.
26 Maintenance & T ube Bending General Maintenance Sear Magic Grid Syste m Care For best results, preheat the gril l for 10 minutes. 1. Use a brass bristled brus h to clean top rungs . 2. Use the suppl ied “Forked Grid Tool” to clean the valley ar eas between the main rungs.
