- 1 - Mediadisk DNX Series is a Home M edia Center, with a built-in 3 . 5“ HD D, c an re c ord and play media files (movies, audios and photos) through TV and w hen connected to PC, can also pla y shared files via net work. - 4 - TV CONN ECTION The DNX s upports four different types of video output (Co m ponent, HDMI, SVHS, CVBS). Composite Cable Connection - Connect DNX and your TV using a co m posite v ideo cable (Yellow). - Select correct ' AV' as video input on your TV.
- 5 - HDMI Cable Connection (Optional) - Connect DNX and your TV using an HDM I Video/Audio cable. - Select ' HDMI' as video inpu t on your TV. Press the ' TV-OUT' button on DNX Remote Control until image appea rs. You can select di splay resolution (1080 P , 1080i, 720P , 480 P) in the AV setting.
- 6 - Connection via the Internet IP Router or Hub Connect by using a direct type LAN cable. To use a PC netw ork: 1. Set your PC' s folder sharing an d authority 2.
- 7 - A/V Menu TV mode PAL/NTSC Screen Change aspec t ratio accord ing to the type of TV connected. Analog TV Out Set up compos it e and S-V ideo connections w ith ' VIDEO' . Choose resolution according to you r TV features. Digital TV Out Setup the HDM I TV out re solution.
- 8 - IP Setup Users can set up the IP automatically or m anually. - Automatic setting: It supports DCH P. When using a router or hub, it is a convenient way to assign IP. - Manual setting: Get assigned IP ad dress, Subnet mask and de fault gateway from netw ork m anager a nd enter them manually .
- 9 - ETC2 M enu More add ed s ettings func ti ons. Language Setting Set up the langu age. Once selected, pres s ' SETUP" to use the s elec ted language. LCD Color Setting Change front LCD color with letters and ba ckground or set it off.
- 10 - MUL TIMEDIA PLA Y Video File Playback The DNX c an play bac k files in HDD, DVD , CD and U SB devices. 1. Select and cl ick the device icon on the main menu which include s video files you wan t to playba ck. 2. Select folder w hich includes video files.

- 12 - BACKU P FUNCT I ON AND PLA YLIST The DNX s upports authen tic DVD and DVD ba ck up titles playback. To playback a D VD backup title: 1/ Copy all related DVD f iles into one folder. 2/ Play VIDEO_T S.IFO file. If there are sev eral DVD Backup titles, ea ch DVD Ba ckup title should be cop ied into different folders.
- 13 - Playlist You can select and enjoy your own playlist. Sele c t musi c files and save them in playlist. Making a playlist - In main menu, pre ss [List] and mov e t o playlist m enu. - Press [ADD] and move to playlist edit me nu. Press [DEL] to dele te file in playlist.
- 14 - Data sharing Setup for Windows XP 1. Select folder you wa nt to share an d select “Sharing and se curity” with right mouse button. 2. Check “Sharing this folder on the ne twork” and type “Share Na m e”. Ex : My Movie WARN ING ! “Share Na me” should be less than 12 charact ers.
- 15 - 5. After checking “User cannot change pas s wo rd” and “Password never ex pires”, k eep the other checkbox es unchecked. 6. Go to “Control Pane l—Network Connection s”. Select “Local Area Co nnections”. Select “Proper ties ” using right mouse button.
- 16 - WARN ING ! If your PC already has “Obtain IP add ress automatically ” checked and IP automatica ll y assigned from an Internet route r or DHC P server, you may not need this setup. If you want a ma nual IP setup, plea se obtain an available IP addres s and subnet mask from t he router manufact urer or network administ rator.
- 17 - DNX NETW ORK SETTINGS IP through SETU P m enu . 1. IP setting mean s IP to which the DNX gets assigned. - If using IP router /Hub, each device get s automatically assigned . - If a server m anager as s igns IP , set up IP, subnet mask and gateway by ' manual settings' 2.
