7 Surface Burners IMPORT AN T : Do not obstruct th e flow of combustion and ventilat ion air around the bu rner grat e edges. Burner cap: Always keep the bur ner cap in place when u sing a surface bu rner . A clean bu rner cap will hel p avoid poor ig nition and uneven flames.
